Six no-hit innings. 94 pitches in so far. He's batting 3rd this inning - if the Cubs let him stay in.*
I hope they do, and I hope he gets it tonight … While I think the Padres are probably better off with Yu and Caratini, I really wasn't happy to see Davies leave …
*Apparently the Cubs are making him take the rest of the night off. Bummer!
Red Sox pitchers took a no-no into the ninth inning - and choked with just one out left in the bottom of the 9th.

LA experiencing a San Diego hangover it seems like. Flat performance.

… substantially overpowered by Cubs pitching. They did it to the Padres, too. 5 out of 6 times. Recently.
Cubs are now tied with the Brew Crew for first in the Central Division.

The last time the Padres beat the Dodgers three straight games (earlier this season) they went into a huge talespin. This time they have responded by being no hit. The Padres are in their head.

The Padres did not beat the Dodgers 3 straight times earlier this season. They did take 3 of 4 from the Dodgers in late April, but not 3 straight.
