I like it with the sole exception that our 31 team is the matchup for the # 5 PAC12 team. I know they are P5 but I don't think the disparity in quality is that large. It would be great and sen a message if The MWC Team crushed The PAC12 rep every year to start out.

Reality is with the number of athletes you need in football - offense - defense - special teams and then some reserves
The gap between the P5 and G5 is getting even wider and very likely will continue to go in that direction
the advantage a G5 may have is - If the P5 team we might play in the J K Bowl doesn't really play up to their level in this or any other lower level Bowl game - or if their better players decide to pass on the bowl game to get ready for the NFL draft .

If they get rid of the 85 scholie limit then we can forget about being competitive. The G5 have been getting the P5 players who can't make their 2 deep. It's tough enough as is right now.

will also interesting to see how things go with the No Sit transfer rule - Oddly enough, that could be the antidote for them getting rid of the scholie limit.

Why would you think they're getting rid of the 85 scholarship limit? Over the years I think more and more G5 teams have been showing their superiority, as evidenced in the annual rankings. I do attribute that to the scholarship limit. When the P5 had so much talented depth they didn't really need better coaches to beat G5 teams. The only way to stop that trend is for the top power teams to start their own conference and go rogue. IMO that's a possibility.

Are you actually saying that the G5 is showing its superiority ? Or should it be the P5 ?

Cant wait for the Press to get ahold of this during Bowl season, attention and amplification on name recognition alone!
