Jerry Brown will get another bite of the apple in Sacramento. He comes in at a particularly difficult time, as we all know. Will he simply try to raise taxes to paper over the holes in the roof of California's financial status, or will he . . . surprise, surprise . . . try to force the one-party legislature to make fundamental changes to bring expenditures in line with revenues? My own guess is that Brown is as clueless now as he was 28 years ago when he left office. If that's so, or even if he tries to do something different from the usual big government playbook, the legislature will rebel and CA will eventually go bankrupt. In case anybody shrugs off such an eventuality, let me assure you that it would be a catastrophic blow to the state which would probably take a generation to recover from. Think Grapes of Wrath bad. www.realclearpolitics.com/articles/2010/12/02/jerry_browns_last_hurrah_108115.htmlAzWm

We are in for a very interesting third term for Gov "Moonbeam". It would be nice were he to find a way to dig us our of this mess. Raising taxes on corporations or high worth individuals will just result in them moving out of the state even faster than they are at present. Trying to make the very painful cuts that are needed will be met with lots of resistance from the near brain dead Democrat legislature were he even to try it. I just do not see the other states allowing the Federal government to bail California out. Just where can we find an answer?
