Joel would be good if he could stay on the floor, play D and not foul. Good luck dude.

His and AG's buddy Ed Chang is back in the portal as well. Didn't work out for him in Missouri.

There's some cold-blooded $#!+ going down on the Mizzou chains on the 6'8" Chang who red shirted last year after playing at SLCC.
"How will you remember the Ed Chang era?"
"Can you imagine what all the negative ass Mizzou fans would be saying if we added a dude who averaged 2.5 ppg 1.5 rpg lololol"
"There are people in this thread lamenting the departure of Ed Chang.
And I came here to do the whole "How will history remember the Ed Chang era?" Gordo riff...."
"Every time I get a DM I hope it's from Ed Chang calling me out."
"The Ed Chang era is over at Missouri. CoMo will NEVER be the same."
Mizzou Fuckers are relentless

Ed's actually a pretty good player & a great kid, and with (technically) 3 to play 2 he may be an attractive option for several teams. Odd that he didn't play this year, especially once it was determined to be a "free year". No reason to sit.

I think we need to let these 2 slip away and finish their college BB careers.

I think we need to let these 2 slip away and finish their college BB careers. I am not suggesting that either come back, but wish them the best. Honestly, I hope these two, get back on the court and get some play time.

Ed is a nice guy that has not been given the best guidance and made the best decisions . Wasn't he the HS player that transferred from a HS in Omaha to a HS in the State of Washington - but was declared ineligible transfer for his senior season in Washington- should have gone back to Omaha or a Prep School or the next season . Maybe get the Prep School or even go to a JC but signed with the Aztecs . We asked him to red shirt but he did not . Then was it a JC that already had numerous high quality players so he again did not get much PT . Then on to Mizzu . So many decisions that went wrong for a good guy .
So that Class of recruits was Joel and Nathan Mensah , Ed Chang , AG and who else ? Was there also a transfer ?

Hey Aztec Mesa, Joel Mensah returns to the SD area by signing w/ Cal State San Marcos Men's Basketball! Played 2 seasons with the Aztecs and one at JMU, two years left to play DII ball.

Does say how much Joel must like the San Diego area - nice guy but should have red shirted or gone to a lower level school or JC to start out with or done a year of Prep School . Not sure he got realistic understanding of his talents and what position he should be trying to play . Needed to either develop his shot or skills near the basket . Example of a taller player that develops slowly and needs to develop their skills not just rely on their height
Ed - just got brutal advice on his HS transfer - where he had to sit out a year . Should have gone to a Prep School . Then try to get better/realistic evaluation of his skills . Would he have then been ready for a school similar to SDSU or a lower level ?
Wish both guys success as they try to get their basketball talents going in the right direction . Do hope they are doing the correct things to get their degrees .

Joel Mensah - SDSU > James Madison > CSU San Marcos Ed Chang - SDSU > Missouri > Jacksonville
Hoping both players get some much needed PT in 2021/22.

Joel Mensah - SDSU > James Madison > CSU San Marcos Ed Chang - SDSU > Missouri > Jacksonville Hoping both players get some much needed PT in 2021/22. Same school Rod Brown (New Mexico) just transferred to). Ed will need a waiver to play this year (3rd school), so most likely will RS. I think Joel's going to have a good year. He thinks they'll be among the top 2 teams in their league.
