Let's forget Trump for a moment, if that's possible. The fact is that for many reasons any nation should determine who gets to cross its borders. This should not be at issue. A country's immigration policy should be well thought-out and should serve the best interests of its people. To suggest that anyone who believes what I just explained is racist is foolish.

I would completely agree that we should, as a country, be able to determine who is allowed into the country (keeping criminals out, etc, focusing on people with education and job skills), and how many people are allowed in.

Obviously, the extremes are out (wide open borders AND completely closed borders). But somewhere in the middle is a reasonable policy.
