Isn't time for the NIH, CDC & FDA to stop allowing people to die needlessly in order to sidle Trump with the stigma of being ineffective at leading our effort against Covid 19? Or are they just waiting for January 20th? dryburgh.com/ivermectin-pierre-kory/

what happened to hydroxychloroquine??..and the Caribbean witch doctor?? It has been used very successfully to help save lives of people with Covud as has been pointed in many situations. Do you need a refresher? The point is that it looks like Ivermectin is an awesomly effective Covid 19 prophylactic and could and could have saved thousands of lives if approved by the noted bureaucracies and no one seems to care about that. Do you?

Do you? bull$#!+, my friends "maga" cousins who called coronavirus a hoax, have been in and out of an LA hospital for more than a month. They had a stock of hydroxychloroquine, and offered it to my friend if he ever got covid. Ivermectin is what we gave my boxer for mange. Ill stick with Moderna or Pfizer.

Repurposed drugs can be helpful and affordable. The interest in my mind is its prophylatic capabilites. How many months will it it take before the vaccine can be given to everyone? How long can the economy remain on minimum without even more irrevocable damage?

If Operation Warp Speed wasn't a complete disaster, it would help. Right, because all it did was develop a vaccine with a 95%+ efficacy via an entirely new technology platform that will probably be the basis for nearly all vaccines going forward. Total disaster.

Efficacy has to be proven over time and the rollout has been a complete mess, as expected. Slow, untargeted and inadequate, except for the Hill of course.

Dear Flat-Earther, Efficacy has already been proven. That is what they've been doing since late February when the vaccine was developed. As for the rollout, the only mess is the portion under the control of the state. The rollout in North Dakota, South Dakota, West Virginia and many other Republican states has been great while the rollout in California has been a mess. That isn't the fault of Operation Warp Speed, but is instead the fault of the respective governors.

That isn't the fault of Operation Warp Speed, but is instead the fault of the respective governors. Efficacy in trials is one thing, efficacy in a population of 328 million people is another. And no, the second part isn't right, either. Pfizer had millions of doses in a warehouse with no destination because of a lack of federal response. And Florida is doing great, huh? You can make this a "Newsom sucks' argument, but it starts with Trump, Azar and the federal government because it is a federal issue. They promised 20 million vaccinations....we are nowhere close to that. Israel did more in one day than we did in two weeks.

Efficacy in trials is one thing, efficacy in a population of 328 million people is another. Just stop. That isn't how statistical probability works. All you are doing is putting on display that math isn't your strong suit. And Florida is doing great, huh? Yes. That is what it is supposed to look like. In Florida people are lined up and shots are given until they run out. If a Florida hospital does not have a high vaccine distribution throughput the Governor has said they will lose their vaccine allotment. In Florida the demand is high and vaccine is going in people's arms as fast as it comes in the door. By comparison, California is letting vaccine expire because they don't have enough of whatever Tier 1, group A, subsection Delta, part III, designation 'c' patients to distribute to. Israel is going a great job and has a distribution system similar to Florida, except they have drive-through injections. They aren't drinking that equitable distribution racist poison so screwing up the works in California and the Democrat run states.

But, the group hae to have one of those, I suppose.

Doesn't fit the FDA's profit motives. It's the same reason why the side effects of the COVID-19 vaccines are understated. "The rapidly shifting policy response to the pandemic has exacerbated a crisis in the trustworthiness of scientific institutions, health agencies and regulatory bodies. Transparency in policy making has been threatened in part by political expediency, sometimes even to the point of government agencies over-ruling appointed scientific expert groups without clear explanation of the reasons for such reversals. For example, in July 2021, the CDC released a joint statement with the FDA reassuring the public that boosters were not necessary. Just two months later, in September 2021, a US FDA advisory committee overwhelmingly voted 16-2 against boosting healthy young adults. Yet, this recommendation was overruled by the White House and CDC leading to the resignation of two high-level FDA vaccine experts. These 117 experts wrote in The Lancet about the “…need to identify specific circumstances in which the direct and indirect benefits of doing so are, on balance, clearly beneficial.” To date, no such favorable risk-benefit assessment has been made public." papers.ssrn.com/sol3/papers.cfm?abstract_id=4206070
