Lin Wood tweeted earlier today that Mike Pence would be jailed on treason charges, then executed by firing squad after failing to save the election for the president. Pompeo apparently would step in to overturn the results. I wish I could make this up, it's literal insanity.

No need, the facts speak for themselves. The only proven fraudulent cases so far are on behalf of the president, three of them. The GOP is turning into an embarassing display of toddler-like antics, crying wolf into the wind. How anyone can support them based on the last 48 hours alone is reprehensible. Back to your first point for a second - The average person does not benefit from the stock market. Wealthy elitists, hedge funds and the corporate whales do, however. The middle class saw a tax increase on average, but Delta Airlines and Amazon received hundreds of millions in rebates. Again, trickledown economics do not work. Who killed Nicole Simpson? The middle class has 401Ks, IRAs & Union Pension plans galore, so you are wrong. Companies with more money can save it for next year, give it to investors, re-invest it in capital and/or expansion, or pay higher wages. All of which have many potential positive effects for all involved (including middle class employees and middle class investors). And the tax cut helped the middle class with moderate incomes in states with lower SALTs, so you are wrong on that too. Re-read what I wrote. On average, they saw a tax increase. On average. Done on that front, though.

A lack of a judicial review that overturns the election results does not mean that unconstitutional actions and voter fraud crimes didn't occur.

John, there is no evidence of voter fraud..and now trump is inspiring violence for January 6. Bad for America. I was just saying that whoever lost was going to CLAIM voter fraud. Not saying there was. I really don't believe that. Only one candidate expressed that explicitly months prior to the election. You're making excuses (again) for maligant behavior that has no place in a democratic republic. Also, claiming there was voter fraud is one thing. Crafting 60+ frivilous lawsuits to overturn an election, while simultaneously undermining perceptions of security and fairness, while also promoting violence and suppression is another thing entirely.

When I say that, I'm not trying to make any excuses for Trump. I'm simply saying something that I believe. You actually believe that if Biden lost he would peacefully walk away? That would be very naive on your part. I absolutely believe that Biden and his team would claim voter fraud, or something of that nature. It's not all that out of the realm since this a completely different voting scheme. The opportunities to claim improprieties after the election were abundant.

You're absolutely entitled to believe that, but there is zero evidence to indicate your position is correct. None. Trump set this up MONTHS ago, far before November. The threats to refuse to leave office, planting the seeds for "law and order" and DOJ intervention. Again, claiming fraud is one thing - Filing dozens of lawsuits with bogus affidavits, zero credible proof and laughably awful legal precedent is a stain on democracy. Yes, I believe Joe Biden would have lost with some dignity. The popular vote margin wasn't remotely close. A reminder that Trump formed a commission formed in 2017 after crying foul in the LAST election, claimimg millions of illegal votes were cast for Hillary Clinton. That commission found no evidence of any widespread fraud anywhere. Another reminder that the president voted by mail....and committed fraud in the process. If you start from a premise of "Well, one side claims this so the other obviously would"....you miss the problem entirely.

You definitely don't have to convince me that Trump was going to contest it if he lost. Everybody knew he would. Trump made that absolutely clear. I do believe without a doubt that Biden and his team would have contested the results as well, and I wouldn't have blamed him, due to the the extraordinary voting approach.

Again, you're missing the point and not addressing the problem. There likely would have been recounts, which is absolutely a standard procedure in a contested state. The president has filed 60+ lawsuits with bogus witnesses, baseless claims and stern rhetoric. That does serious damage to the perception of free and fair elections. More than half of Republicans believe this election was stolen. That's an astounding number. More than half want the election overturned, including prominent politicians. This is where democracy dies. Another point here is to actually understand the dynamics of what the GOP is doing. They are targeting specific groups (Blacks in particular) to attempt to disenfranchise them and make their votes null and void. Whether it's in Philadelphia, Detroit, Atlanta or elsewhere - This is far, far beyond just challenging votes.

leftist appealljng to heaven, clearly I am hitting home. Bernie, Really? Giving out free money to those fully employed and with an income not affected by the various shutdowns? Is that brilliance to you? See your average teacher who sits at home with a full salary as they phone in their lessons to miserably failing students and yet is all too happy to drive thru Taco Bell as the server actually risks his health to serve their customers all while making a minor fraction of the teacher's salary. It is a stunningly stupid waste of money as it is spewed out and not targeted. Not enough for some, free money for others and leaving a debt that will continue our subservience to China and the tax man. And regarding the Trump economy, you seemingly forget when his economic success was undeniable to the point where the clueless leftist clowns in the chattering class all said it was really Obama's economy just continued. So which is it? But the differences for Trump's economy in labor participation rates, full time jobs (versus the Obama part-time "recovery"), the actual increase in middle class incomes, etc., shows all who actually guided the economy better. And please spare us the stats occurring during the Wuhan pandemic. Death rates per capita for covid in the US is just below the Universal Healthcare UK, for example, and below many other industrialized more socialist nations. And while a few American may be commies at heart, very few would submit to the totalitarian measures needed to do any better than we did. To just blame Trump for everything bad is what those without a sellable political philosophy do and we saw it all year in more than the Wuhan virus. And speaking of corporations making all the money where the rest of us suck eggs, tell us more about the leaders of Amazon, Facebook, Google, Apple & Microsoft and their political leanings and ledger sheets. I'll wait. Geez you are a miserable individual . Some of us have had a better life than we even deserved. Conservatives are happier and more generous than their leftist counterparts. Pointing out facts contrary to you closed minded leftist othodoxy may be miserable for you but I can't do much about that.

The article listed unconstitutional measures enacted by bureaucrats (not legislatures) and votes cast under those unconstitutional measures are fradulent. A failure to have the votes negated by the courts do not make the unconstitutional actions constitutional. The proponents of the suits have been thwarted by other means (improper standing. too late to challenge, etc., etc.,) Believe me, if a GOP state administrator enacted a late breaking rule on his own authority that cost a Democrat an election, the Democrats would say "see you in court" and would be justified.
