You make me ashamed to be an American. You and your fellow Trumpers can go to hell. Go cheer for Donald Trump and his proud boys, his white supremacy, his fascist agenda, his children in cages, his grabbing women, His reality TV career, his idolizing the racist Ronald Reagan... Yeah, I grew up in this America where I was treated as a second class citizen for a long time, and I did go to therapy for it. How about you? You're the one clinging to Donald Trump for some form of Identity of power and strength. good luck with that. He lost the election, and now he has to face the SDNY. He'll spend the rest of his days locked up in legal battles. What makes you say Trump is fascist?
I'm not here to defend him because I don't like him either but I can't stand it when people say he's fascist. The left seems far more fascist to me (especially over the last year), yet they claim the party that is pro individual freedoms and low taxes is fascist
Basic civics here - Fascism is an ultra-right authoritarian concept. Communism is the left-wing equivalent. Ergo, not true. As for what makes him fascist - He's not a mirror of Mussolini or anything, thanks to our system of government with decentralized powers. However, undermining election democracy (repeatedly and dangerously), combined with his strong anti-immigrant rants, plus his willingness to condone violence against public officials would qualify as criteria.

Yeah. Poorly educated. My family went to USC, Stanford, Rice, UCLA and Houston. I guess I am poorly educated because I went to State, the lowest on the totem pole. But they aren’t, and they despise anything and everything socialist. So keep pushing all those generalizations about folks who don’t think remotely the way you do. You know, all poorly educated. Lol. Hmmm. Since you are so well educated, why don't you define for us what a socialist is in our society? ..and why do you want them all dead? A socialist is someone who advocates for a system of state ownership and/or absolute control of the means of production which necessitates that collective rights have primacy over individual rights. It is that last bit that makes them so evil, and why leaders of socialist movements are the highest body count mass murderers in history.

I'm sorry, but if you support Trump, you are supporting the $#!+ that comes out of his mouth. you're Supporting the confederate monuments. You're supporting white nationalism and racism. You're supporting fascism and propaganda. You're supporting his weakness in defending American troops, and calling them losers and suckers.. You're supporting his weakening of our national security by giving classified information to Putin. You're supporting his undermining our democracy by trying to overthrow a free and open election. You don't have a place in this country if you'd rather be part of the destruction of democracy. Get the hell out. (edit: clarify my thoughts) Everyone has a right to vote and often one has to vote for the lesser of the two evils. I understand the positions of your daddy's Democrats but if you support the Racist Marxism that the left is now kowtowing to, you are not only the problem, you are everything unamerican. Blatant racism with their Marxist-like "Critical" Race Theory (See Marx and Critical Theory and how they now substitute race/sex orientation for "Class" based struggle), support regressing to a "separate but equal" plan for racial policy, support for Marxist Wealth Redistribution, support for Totalitarian control of information (See China) by leftist Big Tech & Media proxies, support of lawlessness (defying immigration laws, property rights, police authority, voting laws, etc) that encourages even more lawlessness and anarchism, support for giving billions to Islamic terrorist regimes as appeasement (which we all know works so well ), support for idiotic climate policy that believes we can somehow control the weather by giving more power to leftist totalitarian apparatchiks, support for endless wars by being the policeman of the world (as we have seemingly forgotten the lessons learned in the Viet Nam War), support for getting on knee pads for our most dangerous foreign adversary (the CCP - see the Biden Crime Family, Big Tech, Pro Sports, Big Media, Large Corps etc.) and use the "Russia Hoax" shiny object to fool the clueless, etc., etc., Both sides said this election was the most critical of our age and there is no denying that. Independents are now the largest block of registered voters and my hope is that they will soon see their peril by aligning with the Democrats. Time will tell. Voting for the obnoxious Trump was the most obvious choice given the alternative of a senile Trojan horse for the Racist Marxists. The Democrats will knowingly and unknowingly destroy this country in favor of a overarching statist bureaucracy that they see as their own. They will have theirs and everyone else can suck it.

Ok I appreciate the rational explanation and his ego is off the charts and seems as if his attitude is that he's ruling the little people so I'll sort of agree on that general point of him seeming a bit authoritarian (although that's only by the way he talks... I don't think his policies reflect that). But the 2016 election was undermined by the other side for 4 years. So both sides are doing it. Also, the left was basically condoning violence against police officers and small businesses during the riots/protests...
BTW Newsom is way more of an authoritarian "fascist" than Trump or any US politician I've seen. Potentially Biden too as I listen live to his speech right now. His government is literally shutting businesses down and completely taking away certain people's rights

AztecRyan fails basic civics. Mussolini was a Sorelian Socialist praised directly by Georges Sorel who is the namesake of the ideology. From the point of view of American politics, there is nothing right wing about Mussolini or Fascist Syndicalism. It was only right wing in the context of the Weimar Republic where the ideology was competing against Marxist Socialism. With Fascism, the government had absolute control over the means of production with the production decisions being made by trade unions. It would be as if the United Auto Workers made the decisions on how many of each car to produce and how much to charge for them. All jobs were union jobs and membership in trade unions was compulsory. People could still own factories and stores but they could only conduct the business approved by the union controlling that portion of the economy. That was to the political right of Marxism where ownership of everything was banned, but way, way, WAAAAY to the left of anything American and light years from what Trump is.

Please address zoning regulations, social security, Medicare and on and on. I paid $90 a semester to go to state in the late 70's. What about them? People who support those things aren't socialists unless they also advocate for a system of state ownership and/or absolute control of the means of production which necessitates that collective rights have primacy over individual rights. A Social Democrat advocates for the programs you listed. A Democratic Socialist advocates for centralized government control of the economy. A Social Democrat and a Democratic Socialist aren't the same thing even if both like some of the same social programs. One of them likes an expanded social safety net while the other one kills people for the greater good. One of them can be Liberal while the other has to be Progressive and Anti-Liberal in the classic definition of Liberal.

I'm not sure what has happened to half the population once Trump got into office, but it seems like suddenly everybody became insane. Who could support his guys domestic policies? He's asking for his "Proud Boys" to stand by, his white supremacist militias to "liberate" their states from Democrats Governors? What world are we living in that that's ok?

Propaganda is powerful and people will rationalize trivial accomplishments to justify their stance. Since we live in a binary choice system, it's "him" or "the other guy." He ran on a campaign of social division and hate, but he was the "outsider" that people craved that was anti-enstablishment. Just visit Parler once in a while, you'll want to jump off a bridge. Presidential historians and scholars pretty much unanimously have him ranked as the worst president in history - The damage he's done to democracy will have long-lasting consequences. But he appeals to a lot of the people who are too ashamed to voice their support - The "Silent Trumpers" as they are known. It's a complex question.

At this point, anybody who has supported this toxic, horrible excuse for a human being should be ashamed of themselves. What he is doing to America is criminal. He is so vindictive, he wants to create as much damage on the way out he can. I, for the life of me, cannot see how anybody can still support this $#!+show. This is evil in plain sight.

Trump will be go down as a Jacksonian figure. You know Jackson? The guy who, along with Jefferson, is considered one of the founders of the Democrat party. That notion is being erased as we speak btw.
Jackson was the champion of the common man, for the rights of the individual and skeptical of crony capitalism. Of course, now the Democrat party is made up of clueless leftist progressive clowns that care more about collective Government power at the expense of everything else.
And just as the progressives use Jackson's populism and politically incorrect actions while President against him (as judged with out of context, absurd and centuries late criteria), they now bludgeon Trump with similar phony outrage.
Trump is reviled by the progressive establishment, but his legacy will soon be recalled with nostalgic sympathy when, in a few years, China will have exerted its advantage over the US and displaced the US as the world's leading economic power.
The US Gov, Wall Street, manufacturing, digital tech, on-line commerce, entertainment, media, etc., etc., will have all their leaders/execs bought and paid for (like the Bidens are now) and all will jump to China's tune. Those that defy them will be taken out with the relentlessness accorded to Trump.
Your grandkids better be Gov Bureacrats of some sort in the future. In that way, they will probably be lower on the list than their counterparts in the private sector to have their Constitutional rights and freedoms taken away.
