Was watching Seattle highlights. Was wondering where Penny is. For that matter how many Aztecs are in the nfl this year?

I believe Penny is on the physically unable to perform list.

He is still recovering from that. Parker Baldwin - Atlanta Falcons Luq Barcoo - Jacksonville Jaguars Aaron Brewer - Arizona Cardinals Daniel Brunskill - San Francisco 49ers Keith Ismael - Washington Damontae Kazee - Atlanta Falcons Calvin Munson - Miami Dolphins Tyler Roemer - Las Vegas Raiders Kahale Warring - Houston Texans

Rashaad Penny injured a knee towards the end of the season, last year, and Seattle placed him on the injured player list a week ago. If his knee and general conditioning improves, Seattle can activate him after week six. Current Aztecs that I am aware of in the NFL include: Player Name | Jersey Number | Team | Position | Season in NFL | Penny, Rashaad | 20 | Seattle Seahawks | RB | 3 | Kazee, Damontae | 27 | Atlanta Falcons | SS | 4 | Barcoo, Luq | 36 | Jacksonville Jaguars | CB | R | Bawden, Nick | 46 | Detroit Lions | RB | 3 | Brewer, Aaron | 46 | Arizona Cardinals | LS | 9 | Brunskill, Daniel | 60 | San Francisco 49ers | RG | 3 | Ismael, Keith | 60 | Washington Football Team | C | R | Munson, Calvin | 48 | Miami Dolphins | LB | 4* | Warring, Kahale | 81 | Houston Texans | TE | 2 |
Interesting to note, the San Francisco 49ers finished last season with Daniel Brunskill as a starter at tackle for the playoffs and Super Bowl. He is penciled in as the starting Right Guard for the 49ers, yet has been playing Center in the preseason, as their two centers have been injured. * Calvin Munson did not play any regular season down in 2018 with the Patriots, however he was a member of the practice team for the Super Bowl Champions, that year.

Brunskill is the starting right guard for the 49ers, today, and it looks like he is doing a good job. He helped on a couple of good gains while pull blocking.

Didn't Tezino make an NFL squad? I thought he'd be a shoe in special teams contributor and backup linebacker!

Didn't Tezino make an NFL squad? I thought he'd be a shoe in special teams contributor and backup linebacker! No, he didn't not make any NFL's 53 man roster, nor any practice squad. He was an UDFA for the patriots, but was cut. The Panthers claimed him off rosters, but he was subsequently cut and they did not sign him to their practice squad.

Patriots cut him, then the Panthers picked him up, but it doesn't look like he made the roster. I don't see him on the practice squad either. www.panthers.com/news/kyahva-tezino-claimed-waivers-carolinaI'm surprised too. I know he's a bit undersized for the NFL, but he was a monster for us.

Bawden is on IR for the Lions as well. Not sure if he's targeted to come off in Week #9 or not?

Yes, Tezino just needs a good shot at it. Hopefully he'll get one.
