3-star PG on24/7 Sports:247sports.com/Recruitment/Shyheim-Parm-140741/RecruitInterests/Has offers from both U of A and NAU. Parm says he ‘definitely’ plans on taking visits to both Arizona and NAU at some point. “Arizona is in the Pac 12 and everyone knows coach Sean Miller, so that’s what’s appealing,” he said. “They’re a big Pac 12 school. We’ve barely had a few discussions. It’s early, but I like Arizona a lot.” “I also maybe want to go to schools that are closer to me since it wouldn’t be as far of a drive,” he said. “Schools like Pepperdine, Cal Baptist, San Diego State and schools like that.” Parm has also been in contact with San Diego and Cal Poly, as well as Rice who he talked with on Saturday. “I love playing defense,” he said. “I feel like that’s where I thrive, playing defense, getting steals for the fastbreak. I can also make plays for myself and others. I feel like I’m a very good facilitator.” Said West Coast Elite coach Ryan Silver: ““Shyheim is a terrific point guard. Smart, crafty and a great floor general.” www.zagsblog.com/2020/07/16/class-of-2022-point-guard-shyheim-parm-holds-two-offers/

From small town in Cali (Victorville) ... underrated and loves to play defense. This guy seems perfect for us.

This is a two pony race right now unless a couple join the mix. UA appears to have offered and if SDSU wants to offer. If he is option B for both above then he will end up at a lower level D1 program.

But, yes depending on how HS/AAU seasons end up it will make recruiting for D1 roster spots much more difficult for staffs, and add the not sit transfer rule and there could be a lot of movement between players in the upcoming years. Rumor has it that the Aztecs will be big in the 2021 transfer market when GTRs: Gomez and Tomiac + SRs: Mitchell, Schakel and Pulliam graduate. That leaves 6 open spots to fill and they are not going to incoming Freshman players.

He’s been focusing on just about every part of his game, but his dribble moves and shot has been a major focus moving forward. “I have been working on getting more dribble moves in my game,” he said. “Also, been mainly working on making my three point shot more consistent.” After the pandemic, he plans to start taking visits.
