Again, the details that to me are the most damning are that Trump had to ask if Finland was part of Russia and did not know if UK had nuclear weapons. I knew these details by the time I was 10. This is a guy making decisions on NATO? Question, why is the right enamored with ignorance? Highly educated is considered deep state...Elites!!..and blah blah blah... rake the forest.... anyone?

why is the right enamored with ignorance? I can see that you've been taking notes on aztecryan's habit of grouping people together and assigning collective stain.

Alometer, you seem like a very intelligent guy. However, yes..people who follow, and revere, a president who doesnt understand basic geography and International details like who has nuclear weapons are ignorant.. not to mention "rake the forest" , "Kim and I fell in love", hydrochloroquin, Joe Scarborough murdered his intern...and on and on and on... guess who agrees?..just about every former employee he has had in this administration.. This country has become stoopid.....or it always had a lot of stupid people...its just one got in charge.

I do defend people to the right of center, or as you call them “those who don’t deserve”, because I don’t see any broad collective like that as intrinsically lesser or undeserving.

"Deep State".."Elites"... they mean "learned people"... we may soon be irrigating crops with Gatorade.

First of all, not everyone on the right likes Trump and many of those who do like him because he is willing to put up a fight. Many people are tired of being called stupid and racist and being looked down on by people like aztecryan, and Hollywood, and academia, and the media. These people who didn’t like constantly being made to feel small saw Trump take the media head-on and win, and they felt they had someone willing to take the fight to those who had been pouring derision on them for decades. Trump isn’t where he is because of me. He’s there because of you, and aztecryan, and others like you who think it sport to disparage people you’ve never even met.

Talk radio told the coal miners that the Democrats, Hillary etc. were taking their jobs away. Just so they would stay pissed off enough to tune in the next day. If they cared about the coal miners, they would have told them that natural gas and other factors were affecting the long term viability of coal mining and that some side training might be valuable. Even the coal mining CEO's were seeing a future with diminishing returns. Trump has tapped into those who have had derision heaped on them alright..like the audience of "info wars".. "I'll never let you down". There is a certain portion of the US public that you can manipulate like silly putty..and Trump found it.

Do I understand you correctly? btw....it isn't true, but the word you are looking for is 'libeling' or more broadly 'defaming'. Slander is spoken. That said, I'm willing to never bring it up again and leave it in the past.

I happen to think (based on the science, the data and available information) that it's an awful idea, but they are free to worship their leader.

I'm extremely concerned about what's happening outside of Tulsa today. Not our finest hour.
