$8 Billion was spent to prop up the Afgan police force. The contractor got $1 Billion.
What did $8 billion get us? 6 weeks of training Afgan police with no specific goals taught with course.
After 6 weeks police went out and robbed Afgan citizens which in return made the Taliban stronger and resulted in US service men deaths.
US Military stepped in with training and now they are making progress with Afgan police force.
So Sarah, Tea Party members and Republicans. Why not cut out military contractors to save $? Why do you guys never even talk about that? Is it perhaps because they contribute to the National Republican Party in order to get these contracts and rob us US tax payers?
Tomorrow the Republicans will push for tax cuts for the rich and try to take away our medicare and Social Security which I have paid into for many years.
I bet they try to get additional contractors to work with the Afgan govt which is the most corrupt in the world.

Oh, where do I start? First, there you go again with the Tea Party. Last I saw, and you ignored is that the Democrats control the Executive and Legislative branches. Start there.
Next, understand why we have contractors, Bill Clinton cut the military way back and planned on contractors to make up the difference. It is much more complex that that but we don't have the forces necessary to do the jobs the contractors do.

Obviously Bush got us involved in some grossly stupid wars that we did not need to fight.
Iraq was totally unnecessary. Afghanistan could have been fought entirely by proxy for one hundredth of the cost. When the hell are we going to learn? After the Korean War we said "No more wars in Asia." After the Vietnam War we said "No more wars in Asia" Now, after the Iraq war and all the useless loss of American lives and the Afghanistan war and more useless loss of American lives we want to keep on with this nonsense. This is all horseshit. I say turn Afghanistan over to the Chinese Communists for Lebensraum and tell them that we will not object one iota as to what they do there, just keep it out of the press and everything will be fine..

This was under the Bush Administration. Contractors don't have to pay taxes ( work done over seas/loopholes) kind of like GE or Mobil oil who don't pay federal taxes either. However Tea Baggers want the millionaires who run these companies to get a tax break on their personal income too.

Clinton continues Bush 41's cuts to the point he made that contractors could do the work and free our military to fight. 2) contractors pay the full amount of their taxes on contract and if gone for 332 days (of 365), can shelter only 80K of that pay. Under 332 days in a year, they pay the full - highest - rate. Where do you get your phony "facts." Aztec70 can attest to this and he is as liberal as anyone on here, and understands taxes. Finally, why do you keep bringing "teabaggers" in to it? The democrat party has the Exec and Legislative branches last I saw. Frankly, it shows your complete ignorance when you prop these points on phony foundations. |

Also can you name one State that has a foreign earned income exclusion??? Oh, and remember that most end up paying the Alternative Minimum Tax of 26-28 percent of their gross incomes, ta-boot. Hai. |

Keep the American Armed Forces strong enough to be able to fend off an attack from Mexico. Mexico is still angry about all that land we stole from them. Tell China they can take whatever land they want to manage (Please, Please, Please move into the Middle East, China as we know your Armed forces can easily solve the Radical Islamic problem. China knows from thousands of years of experience that the best way to control your enemy is to kill them first and talk about it later.) Tell Russia that we will not object to any necessary measures they need (are forced) to take in their Islamic dominated south. Always remember the only good Radical Islamic is a dead one. If you think they look like a radical, shoot them. Don't waste time talking about it afterward. Why? Well, "because it never happened." Just move more people from the poor slums of Moscow to Chechnya and eventually things will calm down. Shoot, we can even let Germany control Europe. Hell, they already control them economically anyway. Deutschland Uber Alles! Right? Since Chavez is such a dynamic leader, we should not object if he tries to Unify all of South America under his banner. Chavez is Primo, and will eventually solve all of the Problems of that continent. We do not need to use the military to stop him. Gosh, if we keep the military in two or three bases in Arizona and Texas, All of our problems in the world will be solved by themselves. And we can then pay off our national debt. |
