You should wipe your butt with this entire response. Again, you use the CDC for your argument. But as late as February the CDC and W.H.O. were telling the president and the general public conflicting information and that the risk was low for Americans. I posted that information with several sources in another thread where you blamed this outbreak on a "white president and a white WH." The reason you can't wipe your butt is because the sheep are not listening to what health officials are currently telling them. Let's shut down entire schools, restaurants, bars and taverns, all sporting events or any events and entire cities. But let's allow thousands of people to stand close to each other in line to hoard essential items. That seem logical. Love Thy Neighbor until it come down to a f-ing roll of toilet paper. I am not a big fan of Limbaugh and haven't been throughout the years. But No AzWm, he did not say "the coronavirus is just the common cold folks." And what's really funny, is the biased fact checking source that the one liner guy used said it was false. Kind of like the media telling people Trump called the coronavirus outbreak a hoax. When you confront these people who continually twist what was actually said, they change the subject faster than a magician makes things disappear. They are the kings of the red fish fluff. And yes, I am in agreement this whole thing has been handled quite poorly. Not only in the U.S. but throughout the entire world. Way too much conflicting information during the early stages of the outbreak. Let's also not lose sight of the fact that the Chinese Communist Government lied about the seriousness of this current coronavirus outbreak for nearly a month. I have read a lot of information lately regarding W.H.O. And I am convinced that organization is completely corrupt and China has been in their corner for decades. ps, no US President would have given the medal of Freedom to Rush Limbaugh, who a month later tells his cult that "it's just the common cold folks!" Did he say that? I don't think so. Could you cite a source for that claim? (I should add that I am by no means praising the President's handling of this issue.) AzWm Limbaugh did say that back in February when there was still conflicting information about the risk for Americans. And like I stated, I don't care for the guy. |

I misread the post. But --- what the hell! --- Limbaugh is a pundit, not an official. Supposedly intelligent people say Trump is as bad as Hitler. I trust people of good will reject such claims. The piece linked by davdesid is instructive. Pres Trump can be criticized on many counts, perhaps even with respect to the administration's response to the Corona Virus. However, in total, I think their response to the health crisis has been good if not perfect.
What is clear is that Trump haters (as opposed to Trump critics, of which group I am a member) are incapable of making objective judgements when it comes to evaluating actions taken by our POTUS. That is more than just wrong. It is very, very dangerous. That is especially true when major news media operate as 100% never-trumpers. In the 70 years (yes, it's been that long) that I have been a TV viewer, I have NEVER seen such bias on the part of most TV news networks and even newspapers. (By the way, it used to be common knowledge that most newspapers were right-wing. No more.)

The piece linked by davdesid is instructive. Pres Trump can be criticized on many counts, perhaps even with respect to the administration's response to the Corona Virus. However, in total, I think their response to the health crisis has been good if not perfect. What is clear is that Trump haters (as opposed to Trump critics, of which group I am a member) are incapable of making objective judgements when it comes to evaluating actions taken by our POTUS. That is more than just wrong. It is very, very dangerous. That is especially true when major news media operate as 100% never-trumpers. In the 70 years (yes, it's been that long) that I have been a TV viewer, I have NEVER seen such bias on the part of most TV news networks and even newspapers. (By the way, it used to be common knowledge that most newspapers were right-wing. No more.) AzWm It's disgusting when certain people, and the media (Trump haters) either try to twist the good things Trump has done into bad, or never to even mention them at all. Let's try to be more balanced people. Give credit where credit is due, and vice versa. |

A couple of days ago, during one of the press conferences with the POTUS and various experts and administration figures, one man who was in a position to know totally rebutted this claim. Can't remember his name, but his explanation was VERY convincing. I realize that the Left makes fun of claims of "fake news", but this is one case in which that term seems quite appropriate. A bit like the claim a week or so ago that Trump was muzzling Dr. Fauci. Instead, Dr. Fauci is on the televison with the President every day making important contributions to the public. By the way, does anyone remember how many months it took Pres Obama to declare the N1H1 virus to be a national emergency? Six months, wasn't it? In April 2009, H1N1 Became a Pandemic; 6 Months Later, After 1,000 U.S. Deaths, Obama Finally Declared it a Public Health Emergency.

Fact The Communist Authoritarian Government of China is trying to convince the world that the U.S. Military planted the current coronavirus in a market in the City of Wuhan and has banned American news sources including the liberal NY Times and the Washington Post. Fact and very strange. They are also trying to publish the lies in several different languages to convince the world of their BS. Fact The liberal media once again spins the facts about the President turning down test kits from W.H.O. There wasn't a real offer and the U.S. was in favor of using their own kits.
