New Mexico is like our 4th-5th toughest remaining game even if Vance Jackson and Jaquan Lyle return. This is not the same team or close to it without bragg.
I'd rank the remaining regular season games by how tough they will be: 1. @ Nevada- They are gelling and have quite a bit of talent. 2. vs Utah State- They are still very talented and when they play at their best will challenge us 3. @ Boise State- Another team in the 2-6 cluster, Kigab has emerged as a very good offensive player 4. @ New Mexico- could see the case for this as low as 6, they desperately need vance and lyle back 5. vs Colorado State- Really well coached but this is a game i'm not very worried about 6. @ Air Force- Can see the case for them as high as 4 but now that teams are taking them more seriously they are struggling 7. vs UNLV 8. vs UNM

TV showed 2 stats during the game I found interesting: 1. UNLV has made a 3 pointer in 1,092 games in a row....that’s approx 36 years?? Not sure how long the 3 pointer has been around 2. Aztecs have the most road wins against a team...UNLV (can’t remember if there was a time limit, but it was 15) I think I read earlier this year that UNLV is one of only two teams that have made at least one 3pt field goal in every game since the inception of the three point shot.

Used to be three teams in the club: Vanderbilt, UNLV and Princeton. But Vandy laid a massive 0-25 goose egg last week against Tennessee, and now there are only two. www.espn.com/mens-college-basketball/story/_/id/28511073/vanderbilt-34-year-3-point-streak-ends-0-25-nightVanderbilt's streak of 1,080 consecutive games of making at least one 3-pointer came to a screeching halt Saturday night, when the Commodores missed all 25 of their attempts in a 66-45 loss to Tennessee in Nashville. The 0-for-25 effort represented one of the worst 3-point-shooting performances by a men's Division I team over the past 20 seasons. According to ESPN Stats & Information research, only Northwestern State's 0-for-26 effort in a game in 2012 was worse in that span. The Commodores previously had been one of three men's Division I teams to make at least one 3-pointer in every game since the shot was introduced for the 1986-87 season. The other two are UNLV and Princeton. * * * The UNLV streak dates back to Jan. 24, 1987. For a short time, a couple of years ago, Kentucky surpassed UNLV for most consecutive games with a made 3-pointer due to Kentucky's many NCAA Tourney appearances. But Kentucky's streak was broken in 2017, so UNLV is now the leader in both games and time with a made trey. The three point shot was adopted by the NCAA in April 1986 and first deployed for the '86/'87 season.

Yes, I saw him. Did they fly or go by bus? They flew. Aztec Nation represented today. Although it sucked that we got tickets through SDSU ticket office and the section was all mixed up with SDSU and UNLV fans. I though we had an allotment to road games. Bad point of game for me was we had a 7-point lead in the 1st half and Yanni delivers a perfect pass to Seiko for a wide open layup and he misses it. Worse than that, Yanni fouls trying for the rebound. That's his 2nd and he sits out the last 7:27 of the 1st half. That killed us. Loved the early PT Keshad got. I never took my eyes off him and I don't think he lost his man once on defense. And he doubled guys a lot and always got back to his man. AND he didn't take any rushed or forced shots. That was very encouraging. That 3-pointer with 0.1 second left cost me $50 but I don't even care! What a great road trip!!!!! I LOL'd at that watching on TV - biggest cheer of the game from Rebel fans was due to them celebrating, "Well at least we covered and I'm getting paid!"
