No team has ever gone undefeated in MWC history. Utah was close in 2004 (I believe going 13-1)
So this year would be record breaking of epic proportions. Records are there to be broke no??
It sure is going to be exciting. I am looking so forward to the final game in Reno. If the team has a chance to go perfect, Reno is only 90 mins from me....so you can be damn sure I’ll be there to witness it!!!
I imaging Reno will be full of “Let’s go Aztecs” chants. Oh please let this happen! Once in a lifetime opportunity.

If you trust his odds, Bart Torvik has us with a 21% chance of finishing the regular season undefeated. I got this by multiplying the win probabilities together: 0.97 × 0.95 × 0.87 × 0.89 × 0.99 × 0.86 × 0.84 × 0.89 × 0.9 × 0.95 × 0.85 × 0.95 × 0.95 × 0.7 = 0.21 www.barttorvik.com/team.php?team=San+Diego+St. He is much higher on us than KenPom, which I believe has us ~5% odds to win out due to KenPom giving us a slightly lower chance to win each game which adds up.

I think we lose at least 2 games … to either @ New Mexico, Boise, Unlv or Nevada ... 2-3 losses should still get us a 3-6 seed ... we'll hang at least 1 banner this year and win a few games in March.

After the AZTECS win and unlv and Nevada each lost, the AZTECS are the only unbeaten team in conference play. All the others have at least one loss. New Mexico, unlv and Nevada are 3-1 in conference play and still have head to head games left meaning the AZTECS could run away with the regular season title. Good win at Wyoming and let's beat Boise State Saturday.

We have struggled at home. All our road games have been awesome. I wouldn't be surprised, if we lose, it would be at home.

Who was the team that beat them in conference that year?

Who was the team that beat them in conference that year? UNM beat Utah 60-56 (in March 2005). Utah finished 13-1 in conference. Danny Granger was tournament MVP. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2005_Mountain_West_Conference_Men%27s_Basketball_Tournament

Don't you mean March 2004, because that was the year that Utah had the great season and went to the Final Four? They didn't make it in 2005 because they lost their great center they had the year before (Bogut, I believe was his name).
I was referring to regular conference play not MW Tournament play.
