Ohio State all up on that ass. Another $#!+ year for Michigan, despite Denard's heroics.
Denard has over 100 yards rushing in this one at the half.
31-7 OSU, early 3rd.

They'll give him another year. Michigan in the past hasn't been known to make snap decisions on coaches.

They'll give him another year. Michigan in the past hasn't been known to make snap decisions on coaches. Carr didn't give them any reason too. He won a title, he won Big ten titles, and he was terrific against Ohio State. Take it from someone from Ohio....the Mich-OSU rivalry means everything to the fans, boosters, alums. Tressel is on his way to winning 7 in a row and 8 of 9 or 9 of 10, i can't recall. If they think they have a shot at Harbaugh, then Rodriguez is gone. The NCAA violations have not helped him any. The new AD at Michigan didn't hire Rodriguez, which also doesn't help him. Public votes of confidence mean NADA.

Also...if anyone thinks Lloyd Carr walked away on his own once the program started to slip, they're nuts. It may have been "voluntary", but Michigan wasn't lining up to stop him.
Some speculate he was nudged out discreetly.

For the record, I'd love Rodriguez to stay at U of M. ;D As a Buckeye fan, it's great! But....he's history, buddy....the fans are too passionate about wanting change, and going full speed after Jim Harbaugh. www.annarbor.com/sports/college-sports-links-46/

I guess we'll just have to see, but I wouldn't be surprised if they gave him another year.

If Harbaugh goes to Michigan, doesn't that decrease the odds that Hoke will leave SDSU?

I think they'll give him another year. The team has been built around the option, so bringing in a new coach means a huge rebuilding project, and probable losing seasons. They'll give Rich Rod one more year to get it done, he'll bring in a new Defensive Coordinator, and pray that they can hold a few teams under 30 points next year.

I think of this only in terms of how it affects SDSU. I think that no matter what, Hoke stays here for at least another couple years. Whatever movement takes place this year will not effect a change at SDSU in my opinion.

We have a better chance at retaining Hoke long term if Michigan makes a switch this year rather than next.
