Who are the lefties in the pen besides Hill? Pomeranz, Strahm, and Castillo? Castillo is on the shelf, yes?

Bolaños, cant believe we gave him up. i wonder what Hill's trade value is perceived at given his injury history. Injury history? He's pitched in 143 games out of the 'pen the last 2 seasons, between AAA and the Royals. That's tough to do if you're not healthy.

Who cares about Bolanos? He's just another guy. On most all Padres prospect lists that are reputable, he's behind Baez, Bednar, and Weathers even as far as organizational prospect rankings. Though, Baez is not really a "prospect" anymore I guess. Survalli, what do you think about Baez? For a 22 year old guy to step onto the mound and pitch a ML game the way he did, i thought Bolanos acquitted himself, and represented sort of a change of pace arm. i thought he could have stayed on for a few more starts. seemed also like quite the character. he was doing fairly well in A+ and AA ball. Baez is one of the top young arms in the organization. I'm not sold on Weathers, but too early to rule him out. As for Bednar, hard to compare Bednar, a reliever with Bolanos a starter. But if i had to choose between the two based on limited ML experience, i still choose Bolanos.

He's got plus command and a very good slider. He needs to stay in shape, commit to the program and stay on the mound. Bolaños is probably 8th on most prospect lists : Gore, Patiño, Morejon, Baez (both still prospects eligible), Wilcox, Weathers, Cantillo and then Bolaños....maybe. But it's close with him and a couple others.

Big Baez fan here, I only meant since he was up for a good chunk of last season he's sort of past the "prospect" stage.

Bolanos needs to get better with his control/command before he can be an effective major leaguer. Some kids figure it out with proper coaching, some do not.

Cordero placed on the 45-day IL yesterday. Franchy lasted 26 abs this season. Good thing he doesn’t play football or hockey.
