Putting on a clinic at TM against Utah State, esp with blocked shots.
Up 15 with 10 to play in game.

Their HC called them out for a lack of heart, desire, and will after their last game.
I think it worked.

I was mostly worried about Utah State and New Mexico before yesterday and still am, especially if the Lobos get one or both of their suspended players back.
But it's not out of the realm of possibility we lose vs Nevada, Boise State or UNLV too. I know we're better than those teams and maybe we beat them all by double-digits but there are a lot of landmines in the MWC to avoid.

We need to worry about the road. Winning on the road is hard especially in conference.
I know we are all fantasizing about an undefeated season but that is probably unrealistic especially with our injuries. We go dancing with 3 or 4 road losses in conference. Just cant have the wheels fall off.

UNLV has talent and a really good coach who is implementing his program and his team is starting to learn how he wants to play...
UNLV will not be able to run that cross court crap on State, their offense will look very different and I expect it to get bogged down as they don’t really have shot makers other than Antonio and he has to be on a spot...
Yes, we could lose at UNLV but we are the much better team with a plan and talented folks that know how to play our staff’s game plan so I will take State...
But I expect to see UNLV create a few more upsets...

good game but where were the rebels fans, a crowd of 7,000+ tickets issued for the utah state game was a disappointment. that means when we visit them jan. 26 there will be room for AZTECS fans to take over the Thomas and Mack making it our home away from home.

Their HC called them out for a lack of heart, desire, and will after their last game. I think it worked. You better believe it worked! In fact, the announcers on their game mentioned how their (UNLV) coach felt they were at the point where they are starting to put things together and play like he was expecting them to. Which means trouble for the rest of the MWC if they play everyone else the way they played Utah St. last night! They not only got rebounds they were driving the lane, and hustling on every loose ball and getting it away from the Aggies. Utah State, at one point in the second half was a miserable 1 for 17 on three point shots & weren't getting too many other shots to fall! This Rebel team reminded me of the Runnin' Reb teams of the early 2000's who hustled and played well. They & Us were the two teams considered to be the top of the MW, and we had some battles vs. them for the Championship! We play them in Vegas on the 26th, and I hope our Aztecs will be ready.
