Announced on radio broadcast multiple times that today’s game was a sellout. I had to work, so my son took my tickets. He said it looked nowhere near full. Anyone offer a different view of how full the Bowl looked?
A streak of one? Streak’s gotta start somewhere.

There were many empty seats including student section, but some season ticket holders do not show up for games against opponents like CP. It may have been a sellout, but there were maybe 20% of the seats empty.
I suspect the USU game will have few empty seats.

There were empty seats, but not a ton. I would say like 90% full. Started emptying out with 7-8 minutes left and us in control.

It was a sellout in name only...SINO...it was a holiday crowd...plenty of open seats...everyone was sitting on their butts and hands till the Tecs went down by 1...then they got into the spirit....

As has been typical for a couple of years now not all the season ticket holders are actually coming to all the games. This was the best attended game of the season from what I saw. The bench seats were very full. Probably not season ticket holders, but mostly people who just bought tickets since the Utah game.

every row had someone sitting there at today's game meaning all the tickets were issued. Utah State hosts the jan. 8 game, the second game will be feb. 1 in san diego, a likely sell out. for cal poly and other home games during the winter break, the students do not use their per game allotment of tickets meaning the public can buy them. that applies to the Jan. 1 game against Fresno State, Jan. 11 against Boise State and Jan. 18 against Nevada. Considering that spring semester starts jan. 22, the students should be back for the Wyoming game jan. 21. It also means the longer the win streak the harder it will be for AZTEC fans to attend home games as they will sell out and less open seats. now is the time for AZTECS fans to buy single game tickets and tournament passes for the mwc tournament in vegas march 1 to 7, 2020. I purchased mine. Utah State will be on spring recess for the conference tournament meaning their fans should be there as well as new mexico. our fans should be there too.

With the exception of the fact that none of the games the past few seasons have been sellout (even if in name only).

the 2019 Nevada-SDSU game had an announced attendance of 12,414 (sellout) and a court storm after the game.

It was a great crowd , I was really surprised given the opponent. Tip of the hat to the STUDENT SECTION (I thought they were on vacation?) they really showed up - great turnout!

I don't think the OP was wondering whether every seat had a butt in it. But if you go back to 2-3 years ago when the entire season was a "sell-out", and then you'd see wide swaths of empty seats, especially for an opponent like a Cal Poly... This wasn't that.
This was a sellout AND a very healthy crowd size. I looked over to the student section -- void of students, but packed with fannies in seats from top to bottom -- turned to my wife and said "That's how I know word has gotten out on the street". There were no empties anywhere in the arena on the upper bench seats, and everywhere else in the arena was a respectable showing.
In sum... Looked good. Really good.

Great crowd. Probably well over 11K, with 1000 Season Ticket Holders not showing up for weak Cal Poly.

I had a friend who wanted just to buy a cheap bench seat for the game. We were there an hour before tip off and were told the bench seats were all sold out. He had to buy a seat back ticket. I heard later that the game was sold out. Good thing he was there early.
