Well, the 30 percent or so of Americans who agree with the Tea Party like her, but the establishment certainly doesn't. Newtie can't stand her, even Barbara Bush said she should stay in Alaska, she was totally repudiated in Alaska with Murkowsky beating Miller and Scarborough wrote this today on Politico: www.politico.com/news/stories/1110/45687.html=Bob Well...that's all I was trying to tell Win.... but he got in a huff! You confuse huff with cheering for someone raising millions for Conservative causes and being a big part of turning Congress Red. I have said many times she would not be my cup of tea, so to speak for President, just better than Obama.

Her TV show ratings decreased 47% over the previous weeks show. Plus she killed a fish on her show and PETA is after her.

You're wrong. Today's "right" worships this dingbat. Not so many years ago, we'd never have heard her name. But modern culture---and modern "thinking"---has changed everything. Well, the 30 percent or so of Americans who agree with the Tea Party like her, but the establishment certainly doesn't. Newtie can't stand her, even Barbara Bush said she should stay in Alaska, she was totally repudiated in Alaska with Murkowsky beating Miller and Scarborough wrote this today on Politico: www.politico.com/news/stories/1110/45687.html=Bob It's a good piece, Bob. Honestly, I hope that Sarah reads it and makes an attempt to weigh her actions in the light of the well reasoned case made by Scarborough. Look, Palin is not close to my favorite among non-Democrats. Still, if it came down to a choice of her in the White House or virtually any Democrat (I could see my way clear in the case of one or two, such as Bayh), I would go with the Barracuda. Best-of-a-bad-bunch reasoning, perhaps, but there you are. AzWm

Problem is that the far Right tries to lump PETA etc. with mainstream environmental organizations like The Nature Conservancy (which is partnering with fishing and hunting orgs.) and National Wildlife Federation in their attack on "Environmental Wackos"...and they (Limbaugh etc.) do it with gusto. No wonder most professionals in Biology, zoology and many other fields of science vote Left... their biggest enemies are on the Right. And these are people that may share many of the Right's viewpoints on crime, economics etc.

Really bull$#!+ far right link Sid. Slanderous actually. The Nature Conservancy buys land with cash. That's the American way isn't it? Can you show me where TNC is not partnering with the hunting community and can you find one link to anybody but PETA that has a problem with her catching fish?? You've totally lost the point. I was agreeing that PETA are whacks...geez.

Why do you call it "far right"? Do you call everything you don't like "far right"? Can you show me how the information provided on that link is "slanderous"? While we can certainly agree that PETA is whacked, I think you ought, as the link suggests, FOLLOW THE MONEY. Meanwhile for your amusement.... pajamasmedia.com/instapundit/110750/Catch them fish, Sarah!

No wonder most professionals in Biology, zoology and many other fields of science vote Left... their biggest enemies are on the Right. And these are people that may share many of the Right's viewpoints on crime, economics etc. I am an annual donor to the Nature Conservancy! Here is the thing that gets lost Stu. First is that by Googling around you can make any large organization look bad, and all have made mistakes. The large mainstream environmental organizations know that they need the hunters and fisherman in their corner to be successful in achieving the same goals. This was not always the case, with some major donors in the enviro orgs. historically having an aversion to hunting. That has changed for TNC for example, who now promote hunting and fishing on their lands. National Wildlife Federation has never taken a negative position on hunting or fishing. I have a neighbor down the street who is so far Right he makes Sid look like a San Francisco liberal. Yet he donates to The Nature Conservancy because they preserve his deer hunting habitat in San Diego County. I get upset regarding the misconceptions put out there by the far Right and talk radio about the environment and organizations and individuals who work in those fields. "Ducks Unlimited", a great organization, is not attacked, because their membership is considered more right leaning. The far Right loves groups like PETA because they can lump them with the environmental community in general and discredit them. That's why you have some members on this Board believing that the water issue in the Delta is solely based on protection of the delta smelt and discount the salmon fishing industry losing livelihoods and future in California due to dwindling population and survivorship. That's what you get at the Limbaugh, Hannity and Beck school of the environment. I know that you, Win and a couple other more right leaning guys on here get it in this area. Disclosure: I have done quite a few photographic assignments for The Nature Conservancy and have sold images to: Outdoor Life, Sports Afield, Trout Unlimited, Sport Fishing, Salt Water Sportsman, Daiwa, Shimano and many more in the industry.
