Are you kidding me? He needed to use it on the defensive end, or use it on offense and at least try a quick out for 5-7 yards for an easier FG at the end. At LEAST try it. A 48 yarder was asking too much from him. He should be embarrassed that there was a timeout left on the table in a game that was coming down to the last seconds. Horrible.

Totally agree He could have called it with 2:40ish left and we would have had way more time at the end. Its easier to stop the clock on O without TO's

He was probably saving it in case of a botched snap.

Someone in my house, along with myself, screamed a few different times to take a timeout during the last stretch, but I guess Rocky couldn't hear my wife. She even knew what to do in that situation.

He was probably saving it in case of a botched snap. Bad excuse. He was kicking into the wind with a 48 yard FG attempt. It was asking too much of him. Try a quick out for 5-7 yards, or he should of called it on the defensive end. At least try. You should

He screwed up both on the defense by not calling a timeout until there was 1:30 something left and then again by not trying to get closer for a long FG on a windy night. Some of the worst clock management I have ever seen.

Some of the worst clock management I have ever seen. I have to agree that it was horrible. No excuse to leave a timeout on the table. By leaving one, is proof that it was poor clock management in a game that went down to the last play of the game, basically.

Hell, at a minimum he could have done a QB sneak and gained a yard or two and centered the ball in the middle of the field for an easier kick.

It's interesting to note that the qb sneak has become one of our more effective plays.

Wish I knew what you guys were talking about....I turned off the game right after not challenging the safety. I just knew it was over

Should have used two of them on defense. Would have saved 1:20. Also why not center the call with 8 seconds left then call a timeout. Dumb.

Second year in a row against Hawaii that we didn’t. Especially since we missed the FG badly before Hawaii called a timeout.

We sure could have used 40 more seconds had he used just one more on defense. With 40 more seconds we would have gotten into better FG range easily or possibly scored a TD

Yep. I'd like to hear Rocky explain his strategy the last few minutes of the game. The time clock management that was used at tbe end of the game, was a MAJOR factor in why we lost.

Rocky’s issue is that it takes at least 60 seconds for him to unfold the arms across his chest to make the timeout signal. By then it is too late.
The same thing happened when Rocky just stood there and did not challenge the possible safety, and at least show a little disappointment towards the refs with the Tezino (non)holding call.
It is just easier for Rocky to stand there with arms folded and do nothing no matter what happens with his team - good or bad.

Good gawd. I never used so many curse words in such a short time span. Our lack of time and clock management was bush league. Rocky should be embarrassed and apologizing to anyone that supports State!
