This Could Be Our Last Game At Boyd Stadium

Tonight's game vs. UNLV at Sam Boyd Stadium could be our last game played there. Unless we win the MWC Championship game and get to play there in the Las Vegas Bowl. We won't play UNLV at their home again until 2021, and by then they should be in the new Raider Stadium currently being built next to I-15 in Las Vegas.

So, if you are attending tonight's game have fun and enjoy it. Ooooohhh, and help the Aztecs bring home a victory!

Hoping it's not our last game there.  Lets finish up our record in Sam Boyd Stadium with two wins.

Should be a laugh to see the same-sized crowd as they have tonight at Sam Boyd - looks like about 10K - trying be seen or heard in a 70,000 seat Raiders stadium.

note to ted, the las vegas city bus picks up football fans from the campus transit center to take them to sam boyd. I know because I have done that method to get to the game. cost was $2 each way.

There are well more than 10K there.

Is that true, they will play in the Raiders stadium? Geez , I don't think it was that long ago they dropped a bunch of $$ into Sam Boyd (didn't help)

According to the box score, the attendance was 19,652. If that is true, there were many fans dressed as empty bleacher seats.

The crowd was pretty spread out throughout the stadium. I was surprised there was no charge for parking. The new stadium is on the west side of I-15 just across from the Mandalay Bay Hotel. I hope they put in pedestrian access from the Strip or a rail service.

There really is no directive from the NCAA on how attendance is to be counted at football games. You can pretty much announce whatever you want.
