The best thing is, it was The League that created this entire mess, by giving $panos the option of moving to LA. And this problem isn't even new, as this issue was brought up almost immediately from the day the Chargers announced their PSL prices almost 1 year ago.

Yup itâs a total mess, to the surprise of absolutely no one.

Yup itâs a total mess, to the surprise of absolutely no one. The recent passing of Baron Hilton reminded me, early on, he knew his Chargers has no business in L.A. The passing of control of the team from papa to idiot signaled to many this team was on the clock in San Diego. Too bad SDSU apparently wasn't one of them.

All Fred Roggin did today was blame the NFL for the Chargers moving north. $panos exercised the option that was given to him by The League.

The Chargers took every penny they could from the City and the citizens of San Diego and never invested that back into the team or the stadium. I believe between the city & county, SDSU and the NFL the Chargers had about $800 million to build a stadium in San Diego and that wasn't enough for them. They are the cheapest and worst ownership family in the NFL and now that they are out of sleepy little San Diego the rest of the county is going to take notice.

Just to be fair and offer a different viewpoint, the Spanos family was very generous to the San Diego Community. I know there are still some hurt feelings in SD, however that doesnât erase the Alex Spanos legacy of grants, scholarships and HS football games in the San Diego area. The people of San Diego had an opportunity at the ballot box to fund a new stadium and the answer was no.

It was garbage, and the majority of the people voting saw that.

Now that they have sent Rivers packing hopefully what little support they still get from San Diegans disappears.

Just in case anyone doesnât realize, this dual occupancy thing isnât going to work. The Chargers (and the NFL) should have a strong plan B in place.

Don't everybody make Alex Spanos out to be a saint. He was still in charge when they basically blackmailed Mayor Susan Golding on the ticket guarantee money pit for the city. And he took nepotism to a whole new level, which obviously led to most of the problems the team is having now. Or maybe you thought it was a good idea to put his twenty-something grandson in charge of player personnel a couple decades ago.
