I can only hope the Padres can achieve the level of success the Astros have had since 2015, and the success the Twins have had this season. The Padres are trending in the right direction.

Astros player development shot through the roof when they became the team to fully embrace analytics. Most importantly to their success, they NAILED their draft picks. Which of course analytics IQ helps with draft success, hitting on so many high picks after years of tanking and accumulating draft capital isn't always done with such a high level of success, analytics or conventional scouting (or both). Props to them.
