Nathan came out like gang busters today, looked like a man amongst boys, towering over everyone, he dominated the boards, and the guards are looking for him more, he scored the first 3 quick baskets from feeds in the lane, the score was 9-0 after 5 minutes. He'll be fun to watch this year, especially with Malachi Flynn's passing. I was able to stand at the baseline, probably about 6 feet from his dunks, and it was so much more exciting than sitting in the stands, you can really feel the intensity, his dribbles slam off the floor like a canon ball, I could've used ear muffs. His natural demeanor appears nonchalant, but when he gets after it, look out.

Well I specifically went to see our new 6' 2" point guard, Malachi Flynn, transfer from Washington State. He's the real deal. Not flashy, but plays within himself, my kind of guy, with very sound fundamentals. Staying in front of his man, always looking for the pass inside, has a sweet 3 point release. He has great handles, he'll make everyone around him better compared to all the run & gunners out there.

I watched the Matt Mitchell/Nolan Narain game on-line and they played against Caleb Giordano. Caleb is a real player, hard worker, aggressive, determined, plays both defensive and offensive side's of the court. I like his game.

Matt Mitchell looks thinner to me. No one on that floor could guard him, hope he posts up a little more next year rather than relying on the three.

I checked out a couple of games on Saturday and noticed that Yanni looked really good. Seemed to have good footwork, finished both hands, nice block, solid rebounder and passed well out of the block. Just the one game I watched from him.
Disclaimer: I am not a talent evaluator and never played high level basketball. Just an opinion from an old white guy.

When he gets the ball on the high/low post with his back to the basket and he backs down his defender I thought he was very effective. That's my favorite situation for him to be in

He doesn't have nimble feet. I'm not sure about his NBA prospects but I know he could make it in the NFL as a tight end. I stood next to him and he is solid. Chiseled shoulders like Kawhi.

Last time I saw him live was at the Wooden Legacy at CSU Fullerton. He torched us.

He was at the Swish Pro Am playing with Nathan, I was there, #23 as stated on the team roster from their web site, Team Balboa, in real blood and flesh....on Thursday just as the schedule shows. I went back on Saturday to see Team Balboa again but Malachi was a no show. You missed it man. At least I learned how to pronounce his name. The announcer was saying Mala-Kai, not Mala-Chee

There's a lot of replacement players and often times they are wearing a jersey # of a guy listed on the roster. This is what Malachi looks like...

Hard to tell, this guy had a Butch and no goatee.. I'll ask the announcer come Thursday. Anything's possible.
Did seem strange he showed on Thursday but not 2 days later on Saturday. I'll get back to you.

I've been watching Malachi since he played us during the Wooden Classic and I'm pretty sure that Malachi hasn't play in the Swish league yet.
