Thanks for the good tournament. Too bad the refs handed wyoming the win with poor calls on both ends of the court. I defended our players and told the official table ref "they were terrible". I used my free speech.

One team shoots 24 free throws, the other 10 and the one that shoots ten loses by five in ot. Geez. But I want to know who teaches these ladies how to shoot free throws? Thirty four attempts, two misses. Pretty impressive!

I really don’t care. Another sub 500 year for what, the fourth or fifth straight year. Time to replace this coaching staff.

So what if she hasn't won. The current AD has already demonstrated that the only requirement for a women's head BB coach is the ability to keep one's mouth shut (thereby eliminating any member of this board ) and never complain about resources provided to women's sports. If winning was a criteria, Beth Burns would still be here, and J.D. wouldn't.

I’m happy for the lady Aztecs and glad they had some success in the tournament.
Does anyone know how long Terry’s secret extension was for and when it actually was given? I’m guess the administration made the decision that as long as the program is graduating players, maintaining a high GPA and is competitive that they don’t care about results. It seems obvious that the current staff will never have this program competing for a conference title and I’m not really sure that matters to the administration. I don’t expect a change so there will be another sub .500 conference season next year.

This team is at the level where Steve Fisher took over in 1999. We are probably 3 years away from competing with top tier team in our conference on a regular basis and about 5 years with NCAA tournament bound teams. The job after five years is a complete rebuild. Staying one or two years more isnt going to change too much beside delaying the start date of the rebuilding.

No, actually the women's team is doing much better right now (believe it or not!) than the men's team did when Fisher took over. You must be getting mixed up on which team you are talking about. When Fisher completed his first season as Aztec coach they were 5-23, and 0-14 in conference! (really bad!!)
