Today as I watched the Chargers get embarrassed against the Patriots it became very obvious. The Aztecs like the Chargers are unfocused, undisciplined, playing selfish and forcing plays that aren’t there. The patriots had a great game plan that they followed, played smart, disciplined, focussed ball. It all starts from the top, good Preperation, talent evaluation, schemes, team play. We need a Petino or some proven coach who can lead, recruit and inspire. I can see how Wicker would defer to Fish on who would replace him, however Wicker should be all up in both Fish And Dutcher’s grills at this point. That simple.

Come on guys😲 The Patriots have the best coach in the history of the league and they were ready for every single thing the Chargers tried to do both on offense and defense. There are very few teams that could do to them what the Patriots did, which makes their game plan even more impressive. I think Dutcher may be in over his head and I think it is becoming painfully obvious that he was an assistant for all of these years for a reason. Sadly, I fully expect him to be back for at least one more year and I fear we'll be stuck with this mediocrity for a while yet. Here's to hoping he proves me wrong and develops the young players.

Last year, when he rallied the troops to make the NCAA's, did you think he was mediocore and over his head? Or did you think he did a phenomenal job getting it back together?

On another note, I have grown weary of Teflon Tom and Co. I doubt their offense holds less than most but they get away with it. What's good for the Pats is good for the NFL. JMO

Thought he was overrated then too. The difference between last year and this is that he has no coach to lean on to fix the D.

Ok, so you're saying this year the loss of Hutson has hurt him and the team.

You can also add aztec fb to this conversation.. These coaches must all go to the Rocky Long stuburness school.. When the other team is kicking your rear and refuse to change from zone to man2man you deserve to get your a@@ lit up. This cheesy a@@ 7db zone defense (chargers) was picked apart and I enjoyed every single minute. They stayed with it until the game was over in the first half. Reminds me of MBB were they get blown out of game in the first half and no changes are made until halftime.

By the second drive NE was picking the zone apart with short passes, and Brady was untouched. On the other hand Rivers was getting knocked down often w/o any calls, NE was selling out with blitzes and the Charger brain trust refused to call enough short passes to neutralize the blitz. Game over!!

Shouldnt be to hard to schedule games at home next year now that brown has beat us at home..

Meanwhile Thee AZTECS really need an on-ball defender that can stay out of foul trouble as a scholarship goes unused in someone's back pocket!

Comparing an NFL team to Aztecs BB so it can go in this topic is pathetic. It doesn't have anything to do with the Aztecs or the MWC. And the fact that you are criticizing the Chargers after one their best seasons in a while is just idioctic. Just add Aztecs to an irrelevant thread and it's ok. And once again, there are Mods responding. Unreal!!
