I know everyone is mostly focused on winning the Vegas Tournament and going to MM but here is some possible solace in case we don't. This site gives the possibility of us playing Oregon. The only drawback would that this scenario has the game in Eugene. We are hosting the NCAA Tournament which would likely start on Thursday or Friday, and the NIT starts Tuesday/Wednesday. I wonder if there would be any scheduling concerns with an NIT @ Viejas. Also, homecourt is reseeded after every round. So theoretically we could win and then face a lower seed who also won. I'm not sure that would work because the second round NIT games are on the same days as the NCAA Tournament games. Also a few years back I believe Kentucky had the same problem and played a road game as the #1 NIT seed when they lost to Robert Morris. |
