I have lived in Virginia for 12 years, so I am not buying season tix any more. I just opened the goaztecs page to "purchase tickets" to see how sales were going and they are offering the seats at the view level. No mention that the purchaser would be under a tarp. Is this a good sign?

I sit in view, certainly not under a tarp.
Look at our attendance averages over the span since Rocky has been HC, compare to the rest of the MGC, enough said.

I do follow that. I just keep reading suggestions about removing the tarps and figured they usually covered the view section. What sections do the tarps usually cover?

Real aztecs fans show up for every home game!!!!!! Buying a season ticket eliminates premium game prices. The AZTECS players earned our support. So 50,000+ for boise game. Greetings from Salt Lake City.... I know I've been "corrupted" living in a city that is so passionate about their Pac-12 football team, but I think what gets lost in the numbers game is regardless of the opponentthe community should be behind a team that is ranked one of the top twenty-five in the nation. Judging attendance by the opponent tells me the relationship between the community and the program is just not there yet. That said, if this weekend's game doesn't draw at LEAST 40,000, it may never get there. And assuming the game does draw big numbers, the program has a history of losing the games that has peaked the interest of said community. I'm literally betting that will not be the case this weekend.

I just looked at the Ticketmaster "available seat" map and it certainly looks like Stanford/Cal Davis range of seats sold to this point. They have sold a significant number of view seats on both sides. Remember they never sell the end-zone view seats so nothing available in that area is because they aren't for sale.

Cal, Stanford just to name a few "big" games that peaked the communities interest. Any history you're referring to is ancient.

One thing that hurts attendance is the stadium. I was reminded of this attending the UNLV game. I sat in row 9. It was far far better than any seat I have ever had at San Diego Stadium. UNLV has thousands of seats better than any seats in our relic of a stadium.

35K - The average san diegan is still too busy getting sand out of their va.... 45,500 and Assee will move the goal posts and write a smug, condescending article about how the Aztecs didn't get 50k
