I'll be surprised if it's under 50k. I know a lot of people that are going that normally either don't go to our games or only did charger games, so hoping that happens a lot. Plus, lots of San Diego people go north to Davis for school. I've got a few buds that played there and expect they will have a good crowd of SoCal Aggie alum and family.

Because we always have bigger crowds for the first game (students show up in large numbers), because it's the Sky Show & because of our recent success on the field----50,000.

Well it now looks like I'll be there as my scheduled Houston trip for the LSU/YBU game got cancelled for obvious reasons. the game was stupidly moved to the Superdome when New Orleans is suppose to get a bunch of rain. Arlington, TX for Monday would have been perfect but... So add one to your guesses. :rotflmao
Houston Texans vs Dallas Cowboys this Thursday moved to Arlington Texas Rangers vs Houston Astros moved to Tampa.

To be fair though, this might actually HELP us a little. Dodgers are so good and Padres are so bad, maybe a lot of fans sold tickets to Dodger fans for a profit and have the day free to come to an Aztec game? If I was a season ticket holder, I'd sell those tickets and make $ no question.

50k +/- is a good crowd. We will exceed that number for Stanford, and possibly Boise State if we are 5-1 or 6-0

We did 46K last year? Not bad and better than I expected for this game, but it appears the Charger departure means a modest bump of 10%.
I wonder what all those charger fans are going to do with their disposable income if not the Aztecs? I bet they still spend it on the Chargers. JMO.

When we had the first Skyshow back in 2004 (and played Idaho St.) we had over 57K at the game. Very good, and even though UC Davis is an FCS school we could still have a very good turnout. With all the season tix sold, it being the first game of the season, and with the possible new fans showing up we could top 50K.
Just think of it, a small name school and we have 50K plus at the game. We may just set a record, but I'll play it safe and say 48,500.
