Obama has one problem. JOBS. If he fixes that to the satisfaction of Americans, he will be re-elected. If not he won't.

Americans voted for Obama not because he was different from Bush in temperament, but that he promised to cooperate to fix problems. Bush would not cooperate, until the financial crisis.

Americans rightfully realized that there is no solution until we cooperate to solve problems. I disagreed with that philosophy because there is no incentive for Republicans to cooperate and by doing so make it appear as though Obama was succeeding. Republicans needed to be confronted by a raw display of overwhelming power.

So, in my opinion, the Britisher missed the real counter reaction. I am not surprised.
