From what I've read the TE's there would need to block more than catch. I speculate, he wasn't going to get much playing time due to a logjam at that position. His height and size will be a great addition to our defense (assuming he stays on defense). A Randy Ricks/Jamal Duff type of player with length (we've been trying to recruit longer players)? He played basketball for San Marcos HS . He played in 17 games for a very good San Marcos team, averaging 3.8 points and 3.5 rebounds.

In his senior year, his only season playing football at San Marcos HS, Robinett made 24 solo tackles, 43 assisted tackles, 8 sacks, 2 caused fumbles, and 1 blocked field goal

Interesting, he didn't want to go to SDSU because we wanted him as a TE, not DE.
