This thread is pathetic..why do we care about a Kansas guy when we can't even close on anybody these days Makes me wonder that there was credibility to the Parrish report...a school that had recruiting momentum and since that report we have had "0" commits

Aside from Dutcher and Hutson we're low on experience. This thread is pathetic.. Yet you keep posting in it. It's as if you think we should be able to sign every recruit just because you will it to be so. There's a lot of competition out there....gotta give them a chance. The real challenge will be whether this staff can coach 'em up once the roster is set.

This from Mark Zeigler at the SDUT after Devon Daniels (SG) selects NC STATE over SDSU, even though high scoring transfer C.J. Bryce (SG) had committed earlier in the day. "Also passing on the Aztecs this spring are VCU fifth-year senior Ahmed Hamdy-Mohamed (TCU), Duke transfer Chase Jeter (Arizona) and Arizona State de-commit Kenny Wooten (Oregon). Local prep stars Brandon McCoy (UNLV) and Miles Norris (Oregon) listed SDSU among their five finalists before committing elsewhere There is some truth since we haven't landed a recruit this winter/spring and lost a critical front court player to ASU. ASU is hugely crowded with front court players. SDSU has 4 guys on the roster over 6'9.

Understand Rooks is visiting the Aztecs . But just in case Coleby could be down to UL - Monroe and Little Rock - we should be able to compete with those schools to get a visit.

Sounds to me like he's a Mississippi kid who's looking to play back closer to home. Not sure why you think we "should be able to compete" with an entirely different region of the US if that's where the kid is focusing his search? He's looking at some BAD teams in BAD conferences to stay in the general area. If I had to put money on it I'd expect him to land at Western Kentucky, which at least would give him a chance to make the dance next year while being fairly close to home.

Focus on Rooks, focus on Jackson, focus on the class of 2018. We need 6 good players to sign up and wear red & black, play on the Mesa and win games under Dutch.

Believe Dwight was born in the Bahamas . Who knows maybe he might want to look at San Diego CA . Would guess our coaches have tried , can't hurt to give a last push if things with Rooks do not pan out .
also would strongly consider Walter Foster , 6'8" 235 lbs , who likes to play D , 6 points ,6 rebounds and 1.5 blocks per 22 minutes .

Stan I still can't find any new news on Walter Foster the 6'8 235 PF/C out of Towson State who is from GA.

He played HS ball in Mississippi; he's visiting SE schools only. Think its incredibly reasonable & obvious to infer he wants to stay closer to home. There are a LOT of programs with multiple openings out west & most would welcome size. If he had ANY interest in playing out west I'm sure we would have reached out to him. My guess is he doesn't & we didn't, like most west coast programs.

Western Kentucky with another pick up. No surprise. Close to home & best team among those showing interest. Chance to play next to Robinson for a year. Stansbury has always been a great recruiter. Whether or not he can coach has always been up for debate.
