Wait. So opinions only matter if you can directly affect the outcome? Damn dude, you just killed message boards. Do you have opinions on games? And aside from that, you do have an impact if you're a voter in San Diego. Regardless, I don't need anyone to "agree" with me. Just expect a basic understanding of the subject you have an opinion on. I answered your two questions nicely - even though I repeated myself and many others on this board for the hundredth time. Had you been paying even a little bit of attention - you'd have known the answers. Geezus, dude get over yourself. Thinking that might have something to do with this board getting their panties in a wad over anything coming from the media. It could be Acee, Zeigler, Kaplan or anyone because everyone in SD is out to get SDSU. Yesterday you had Acee's article along with Faulconer and Fowler both publicly making it very clear SDSU will be homeless in 2020 if a new stadium isn't ready. And NOT ONE SINGLE post of concern on that. I am 100% in agreement with everyone who thinks I am annoying and over here way too much. 100%. But I have never seen a message board with almost a singular narrative that is so out of touch with reality. Everyone is a shill or fighting against SDSU. Fighting against what? There has been nothing to fight against aside from wishes. I don't like Faulconer. Really don't like Acee. (just not a talented journalist) Don't care about talking heads. But they're not out to "get" SDSU. Either step up or step off. I started my time here after the Chargers genuinely concerned about SDSU football and having a stadium in San Diego. Slowly, that concern has drifted. Holiday Bowl can play at Petco. Don't give a rip about MLS. Maybe the City can open up the RFP process and a big time developer with no interest in a stadium will step up. Wouldn't that be fun. |

SDSU comes out in opposition to the SoccerCity, making as clear of statement as they can make. It is well reported they were working with FS for years, but apparently SDSU did not deem the agreement to be mutually beneficial and equitable. SDSU has other developers, who they are working with (JD Wicker specifically mentioned JMI and Manchester in his recent interview on 1360), and they say they can build their own stadium. SDSU has said they can buy the land at Mission Valley and can build their own stadium. SDSU simply wants this to go to an RFP process, where there is a competitive bid (that is way government works, in case you don't have experience bidding on government projects). Yet, you keep asking the same questions. Nobody really knows the end game here, but there is no scenario in which SDSU drops football. Have fun in Inglewood. |

I just listened to the interview. Kaplan is very hard to listen to, and Billy Ray is a neanderthal.
Kaplan keeps saying "Now, help me with this here" or "Now,I am just trying to figure this out." He is transparently demeaning, while being borderline moronic. JD walks circles around him, and JD is not even a very good spokesman.
