newscenter.sdsu.edu/universitysenate/files/07234-FNL_Roster2016-17_(sabbaticals)(7).pdfThe Senate Can do whatever they want, but it is like the AS an advisory vote to the President. But give a read as to who is on the Senate and look closely as to what Departments have seats and the number of seats. Take a look at the B school, its representation is small compared to students and donations to the university. So, prepare yourselves. The Senate will make the recommendation to eliminate in the Fall. Assuming your theory holds water, it would seem to me that the percentage of Senate members from the College of Arts and Letters would be most telling since it includes not only the department of American Indian Studies but also Africana, Chicano and Chicana and Sociology.
