Wonder if we could get Tony Bland back as a head assistant? Not sure if that'd be an upgrade/downgrade from whatever his position at USC is now Why would you want Bland over Hutson? Well he's crushing it in recruiting at USC and he did very well with us also. Since he left I think our recruiting has possibly taken a hit, although that's debatable. I think having Bland & Hutson is a fantastic duo.
EDIT: I just looked it up and he was promoted to Associate Head Coach back in 2015, so it wouldn't be an upgrade for him to come here anyway.

Have to disagree, we aren't competing on Arizonas level right now. With Z transferring, our transfer recruiting may have gotten easier (more PT available). McCoy Norris Cherry Jones Bernard Romar's not going to be the lead recruiter in So-Cal for UA. He's there to improve their recruiting on the NW; be a mentor to the kids on the roster; and help implement a faster paced offense. If a faster offensive pace is desired by these recruits that'll be Romar's only impact. |

if the top assistant coach for Arizona has left to become a HC at UCSB . Is Miller the lead recruiter in So Cal or ?
Tony Bland and their coaches have done a very good job at USC , even won games in MM, he was in the running for HC at UCSB, Gets paid more at USC , with ability to recruit better players . Why would he come back to SDSU ( in the MW ) and be the second or third coach at SDSU ?
