Have to disagree, we aren't competing on Arizonas level right now. With Z transferring, our transfer recruiting may have gotten easier (more PT available).

Romar has been a very good recruiter throughout the years, even though U Dub had Challenges.
Bland at USC has pull in So Cal. Dave Rice is now in the PAC 12, plus UCLA and Oregon have elite teams.
Hurley at ASU has risen the profile of that school. And no one will ever sleep on Gonzaga again.
Its tough, even Stanford has a really good class coming in.

IMHO Just like in the NBA nowadays, kids want to go to a team that is a contender already or a team that has a RECENT reputation of developing players into NBA level talent. I think that's what brings in the heavy hitters. Until u can win with who you have, it's gonna be a hard road to plow.

PAC only seems to get better - especially the higher level schools ,DUCKS, UCLA, Arizona, USC , ASU is on the up swing , Utah battles for recruits , OSU , WSU , Huskies , Colorado , CAL ..... ? PAC also has a much higher recruiting budget. Arizona lost their best assistant to UCSB but now has Romar who can recruit even if he had problems with coaching . Nevada , and UNLV will be tough on the recruiting trail . Zags have really honed their recruiting / transfers . We need to find a way to recruit Texas and other areas.
at least 50 % of being able to produce a higher quality team is being able to recruit top recruits, transfers . It also means being able to recruits guys that play positions 1 through 5 , and we have had problems getting guys that want to play the 5 . We also have to make adjustments to the offense , if we hope to get guys that can score more consistently .
So correct recruiting will only get more difficult if MM is really the goal and we are trying to compete with the upper level teams . MW with TV deal and ..... also does not help .

believe the MBB only get 13 .? But unfortunately the better teams get the cream of the crop . So the recruiting for the remainder of the Spring Summer will be very important. Does it affect who Dutcher adds for the open assistant coaching job ?

Romar would have been a good assistant/head recruiter for Dutcher. Romar's best years may have been when he had Cameron Dollar and Ken Bone on the bench as assistants. Bone coached defense and Dollar was in charge of recruiting violations. JMO

Romar has been HC at a PAC school so that really helps in him being able to recruit . If anything should be even easier at Arizona . Much harder at G5 schools to recruit the higher rated players .
Zylan leaving does open up PT , but recruits also want to know why a player who was starting leaves a school . ? Will his situation happen to them ?

Wonder if we could get Tony Bland back as a head assistant? Not sure if that'd be an upgrade/downgrade from whatever his position at USC is now
