and United's stupid CEO keeps stinking his feet in the poop over and over instead of just apologizing and promising a full investigation. Passenger has now hired an attorney. they screwed the pooch big-time. Lots of people cutting up their United CCards and vowing not to fly them again. Boneheads.

Hope he, the passenger, was smart enough to have the attorney's in a bidding war for the case.

Some shady things coming out about the passenger but that is beside the fact. This guy most probably hit the jackpot. United was my "go to" Airline for many years when I was traveling around the World for work and earning big Frequent Flyer Miles. I can not believe they would have such a screwy policy in place or more likely had never thought this through. Who knows how lower level people will react when faced with this kind of situation? I am glad I am long since retired and not a part of any FF Program.

Money was exchanged and a service was promised. Then the company beat the crap out of the customer when he refused to give up his seat. Not a good moment for the "friendly skies".
