Try "Obama Veteran's Day 2010" in your search engine. You can find text and video of his speech. The tubes on the internets are great, huh? i;)

The problem is not Obama out of the USA, it is the USA out of Obama. Okay, that's a crummy line, but there is some truth there. This man is the least American person ever to rise to the presidency. Is that bad? Well, were Obama able to more genuinely reflect the patriotic feelings of the vast majority of Americans it would not be. Sadly, Obama seems more intent on teaching Americans a lesson. That lesson is that Americans, the poor things, are close to hopelessly clueless as to how they should act in the world.
Is everything Obama says untrue or silly? Ummm, no. That's not the point. You just don't travel around the world apologizing for your country. . . not when you are the Chief Executive of that country. Yet, that is just what Obama is doing.
Obama may win a second term, in fact I predict that he has better than even chance to do so. If he wins it may be largely because the GOP cannot find a credible candidate. Obama may eventually wonder whether a second term was worth it. The Republicans hae a great chance to keep control of the House for the next two or three election cycles. The Senate may well fall in 2012 as well. Maybe you do not know that the Dems have to defend 23 Senate seats next time while the GOP has only 9 or 10 up for reelection. A net pickup of just 4 would then give the GOP total control of Congress. Obama's chances of furthering his regressive agenda will be about nil.
As I have also said before, Obama has brought this on himself. A more experience man might not have been so naive. Barack Obama exemplifies the term "unforced error."

Again I must interpret your response to be another case of nolo contendere, which is Latin for I am totally clueless so I will yell loudly as I pound on the table. AzWm

Pound on the table? That sort of behavior is denoted by using ALL CAPS. I did not do that. YOU DID. You changed my post. So typical of you. Change my post to suit your argument. My pithy riposte is merely pointing out that your post, and political philosophy, stinks like a stockyard after a rainy day. However, I am pointing out that your and your ilk do have a useful purpose. Metaphorically speaking. Feel better?

AzWm Well technically he did not call you a name. However, you are correct that he didn't address the main idea of the story---that Obama is out celebrating other countries' veterans while american soldiers are fighting a war he doesn't really even want to win. I think your main idea was that Obama better start looking a little more patriotic than he appears to be, because he's insulting all the plain folk who elected him in the first place. And I think you're right. Even dummies in middle america can see through this kinda $#!+, and they're not gonna vote for him again. I believe he is losing support because he has not been liberal enough. He was elected to effect change. He has governed from the middle. He has tried to play nice with the GOP. He has really governed as "Bush Lite". That is not why he was elected. I hope he can channel Harry Truman and give the GOP hell. I am not sanguine.

I excerpted the key portion from it and increased the point size of the font. I did that because the default size of quoted material is really, really hard to read. That was a service to people of limited of vision such as your obedient servant. (If you doubt that, just ask B5Erik. He will attest to my less than Ted Williams-like eyesight.) AzWm
