The Spanoi and his consiglieri Fibiani, have done no favors to them themselves. They are no friends of SDSU or friends of ours. They constantly extort SDSU and shake them down for every penny in a Stadium they don't even own. Enough with this black hand that wants to wet their beak and get handouts at little to no cost.

You guys better be shovel ready and announce an Aztecs stadium with locked in financing the minute the Chargers announce they're leaving. You've had years to have it figured out, I will be beyond pissed if SDSU drags their dicks on this. Qualcomm needs to be razed ASAP. I don't subscribe to the theory it will necessarily help SDSU football. Might help attendance once people realize how nice it is to go to a football game that isn't played in a dump. But how else does it help? How else are the Chargers holding the program back? SDSU should dominate the mountain west year over year. Playing in Qualcomm wasn't preventing that Three title in five years is pretty much dominating

How sad. A metropolis of 3.3 million can't find a way to accommodate SDSU and keep the National Football League too. A city is as good as its people, and this city is pathetic. Oh, and so long, Holiday and Poinsettia Bowls. I'm sure the same hotel gods who hated Measure C will wish you well on your way out. The people did what people do... You can't treat people like trash for 20 years and then expect them to keep loving you. It is all on Spanos and the Chargers, not the people of SD.

Pervasive leadership vacuum and a lack of vision. Is what is is.

Has nothing to do with memory man. So yeah, it's creepy as %#$&. I've made it very clear who I'd be angry at. Don't see how it's misplaced at all. Something needs to be done in Mission Valley and Qualcomm needs to be razed as fast as possible. 2003 has told me countless times SDSU West is a done deal once the Chargers leave. I will be angry of that's not the case. Again, I would fully support SDSU West if the Chargers aren't in Mission Valley. I wouldn't say it's a done deal. The devil is in the details and I don't know what they are. However, SDSU WEST does have a lot of support/momentum.

It's their best bet IMO. They're much better off trying to capture as much the LA market than they are trying to retain San Diegans. Best way to do that is give LA a team with a fresh start and brand.

Fabiani is the "ownership source" sending these quotes to LaCanfoura, Jason Cole, Vinnie B, etc.
The question is why? Spanos already has his ticket punched to LA. All he has to do is just shut up, wait a few more weeks and bail. What's the point of turning Fabiani loose?
There's an ulterior motive going on.

To expect something as massive as tearing down a stadium and starting a project as massive as SDSU West "as fast as possible" is beyond realistic. Also, if the Chargers are gone next year, a lot of people will hate it, but unless the Raiders are approved for relocation in February, the Raiders to San Diego is likely to come into play. But the NFL seems to have a decent amount of concerns about the Vegas market. How that could ever be financed is beyond me because Mark Davis is poorer than Dean Spanos, but there's already a lot of talk about it.

All he is doing with this garbage is losing his what's left of the dwindling die-hard fan base that he has here. The LA Chargers are going to be the saddest franchise ever. Zero fan base anywhere.

Well, if they rename the team then that will make it a little easier to deal with the loss of the only NFL team we'll ever have in town - at least that team (the CHARGERS) won't be playing anywhere else. I'd actually prefer them to rebrand/rename the team. Leave the Chargers name in San Diego (kind of hard to sing the song with the right cadence if it's Los Angeles Super Chargers). Maybe someday we'll get another team (highly unlikely, but not completely impossible) and that can be the Chargers.

This is the same stuff Jason LaCanfora has been rehashing all year. Same article, same source..... But is he wrong? After a year of being wrong, he finally gets it right....

After a year of being wrong, he finally gets it right.... How has he been wrong? Saying the Chargers were leaving? Posting the same stuff over and over and over again. It was clock work. 10am Sunday, a "new" story was out. Carson was a done deal according to him last January. He's been spitballing. Follow his twitter account. He's being called out hard by every journalist following this. But it took Scott Kaplan of all people to finally put a name on a quote. Scott f****** Kaplan.... Well, it's all done no. The folks of SD has been dragged thru this now for 2 seasons. They are done w/ it, and with Dean.

Having lived here nearly my entire life it never ceases to amaze, how small time a city with this many people can be. Thank God I surf to keep me sane.

Regardless, get back on point. SDSU better have a plan to purchase or least the land and have shovels in the dirt within months of the Chargers leaving. You've better have been greasing the pols and hit the ground running. Considering SDSU WEST has been "in the works" for the past decade we better have a plan in place. According to Presudent Hirshman they are pursuing SDSU WEST. Of course I don't know specific detail but I do now there is tremendous public & political support for SDSU WEST both local & state.
Go SDSU WEST! Go Aztecs! Gee, now you sound like the next president. I'm saddened by the move of the Chargers back to LA, but as an Angelino and current resident of Utah, it will have absolutely no impact on me. Personally, I think the Chargers should have stayed at San Diego Stadium to give time for Spanos to, either make the team better, increasing public support, (yeah, sure), or to sell it, (could only be an improvement). As I previously posted, the Chargers will be buried in LA, (but not my problem). As far as the future of the Aztec football program, as a Democrat that will be sitting on the sidelines enjoying the show that will be the next Republican Administration, like I did the last Republican Administration, I'll be following the developments as the University moves forward with this "new campus". That could be just as fun...
