Good article on this kid in today's UT.
His coach says he can make all throws.
He has a high TD to INT ration
Rocky said we want another QB.
Csuck had offered him among others.
He's mobile and has a strong arm.
Obvious Question, do we have interest in this kid and if not why not?

Well what are the stats from his past two seasons? Are we talking a QB that is ready now or one that will be good in 2021.We have Cam Roane on his way in this year from a good Texas school {Colleyville}.He has thrown for 8330 yards in his HS career and ranked around 20 in the country. Then there is Agnew which should have been put in the games earlier and more often this year.He rushed over 1200 yards in a year at a Texas HS {Southlake} and threw for over 3000.Since Agnew played in the shotgun formation in hs he had trouble taking a snap initially but I think he is past that now.Trust me when either of the two mentioned gets in the game the cannon is going to be going off like crazy. Roane 16-17 Senior Varsity 2937 33 TD 6 int and 525 yards rushing 5 td's

Chapman is decent and has a lifetime 12-4 record as a starter, but obviously Rocky needs to bring in some competition....maybe a hotshot JUCO playmaker. Chapman doesn't escape pressure that well and usually runs straight into a linebacker when under duress. There is a reason why he only throws 6-12 passes in most games.

Chapman is 12-4 as a starter because of Pumphrey and Penny.I like Chapman he is a good possession QB makes few mistakes but lacks the natural ability to be a elite QB.

Even though he is listed as a dual-threat QB, Terrell Carter's rushing stats were pretty average
His stats going into Friday's game against Calabasas HS: 167/276 passing for 2,652 yards and 32 TDs and 4 INTs. He also rushed 51 times for 420 yards and 4 TDs
In addition, hasn't he also committed to New Hampshire?

The backs are awesome... no doubt... not having to do something does not mean you can't do it. Please see the 99 yard drive in 1:07... ESPN QB Rating - Chapman is 27thAgain, you can say whatever you want to about his ability and such, but his ranking is pretty darn good... Maybe one of the Texas boys will unseat him and play like crazy, if so then great, that will mean we have at least a Top 20 QB... SDSU RecordsChapman is the 4th best QB according to Rating in SDSU history with a career rating of ~147 He is 2nd in winning percentage and look at the by season, you have to go back to 1996 to find a year as good as this year for a QB... Billy Blanton...

He passed for 211 yards at the first Wyoming game Thanks, I missed that game.So my guess would be two times he had a good game this year but one was against NH.I hope there is improvement at the QB position for next season without Pumphrey.

Like JYP use to, I look at the other schools that have offered the player and based ONLY on that about Roane, I'm not convinced.

The open slot at QB is probably for the transfer market or 5th year senior.Rocky is not dumb he sees that we have passing issues.

I'm sure most kids won't say it, but they all got big P5 dreams.

Give Rocky's track record, he is going to bring in a junior college player or 5th year transfer who can act as a safety valve/insurance policy. Relying solely on a freshman would not be prudent. Maybe a player like Maxwell or that kid who transferred from Oregon St. Katz.
I definitely understand AB's point about Roane. All of the bigger programs passed on offering him, so that is a bit of a red flag.
