Liberal, but not born again liberal.
We need a lot more health care legislation. We may not get full socialized health care though congress now that the Republican Nazi crowd has control of the house.
We were on our way to a Socialist Utopia, but now it looks like we will have to wait.

The Senate will formally be in Democrat control.
But my guess is it will functionally be in Republican control. There are 32 seats up in 2012, and 22 of those are Dems (including the two independents who caucus with the Dems).
If the Repubs have 47, they will need to flip only four for a majority vote.
I see perhaps eight who could vote with the minority.
First, Manchin of W Va. He's filling out Byrd's term, he's conservative, and even did an ad depicting himself blowing away a copy of the Tax and Crap bill with a high powered rifle.
The two Nelsons, Ben of NE and Bill of FL. Bill has to take notice of the Repub sweep in his state, and Ben is always open to deals.
Tester in MT has to take note in an independent minded state, which has even passed legislation in the teeth of federal laws.
Jim Webb in VA, a former Repub and no dummy, has to take note of things, also.
McCaskill in MO has to be nervous in the wake of her state's overwhelming rejection of socialist medicine.
Conrad in ND must be feeling the same vibes as Tester.
And Kohl in WI has to take note of what happened to his colleague Feingold, who really wasn't all that far left.
We shall see. It will be fun, fun, fun......

It will be interesting to see just what happens in the Senate. All those who did survive this election were witness to just how Obama threw a number of their friends under the bus this election cycle. Could they decide that distancing themselves from Obama would endear them to their home constituents?

At least I am not represented by Republicans (except for McKenna). I would not think for a moment that a Republican would actually spend one second to represent me though. And I would certainly call that fact to their attention.

Does a repudiation of is agenda by large numbers the electorate mean he is giving up his handle on steering wheel in favor of House Republicans? One additional thought is that if a Republican were to "represent" you, he would not survive for a minute past the polls closing next election. That is why we are changing the landscape. It is to make sure that you are confined and contained in King County, Los Angles, San Francisco and Massachusetts.

It will be fun to see how badly the GOP screws up again. By 2012 the country will once again toss the GOP aside when they see what fools they are.

No, but they will have to carry their end of the log for a change-and be held responsible for the results. The voters are mad that they are not employed. This election was not an endorsement of Republicans. The places where conservatives live don't usually appeal to me anyway, although the precinct I live in is very conservative.
