The last five players cut, joining five-star 2017 high school prospects, Cassius Winsto Kris Wilkes, Lonnie Walker, John Petty and Brandon McCoy.

If Fultz leaves, two more Dawgs get put on the street, to make room for Young and Porter.

Attrition happens.

Didn't Romar hire Porter's dad as a new assistant coach for this season ?
Romar has set up a very interesting revolving door at UW . Fultz is already seen as a high lottery pick

seams like U Dub would be a better team than they are given the level of talent they get. I think we have far more NCAA appearances in the last 10 years then they do?

You'd think they'd have had more success, given all the guys they've sent to the next level. Last year they had 2 1st round draft picks, BUT they were also among the 5 youngest teams in the country. Their 2012 team had Ross & Wroten, and SHOULD have been a NCAA team (they won the P12 reg season), but again they were among the youngest teams in the country. Ross was a SO & Wroten was a 1 & done. Their last NCAA team was 2011, with Isaiah Thomas, which was their 3rd bid in 3 years. Nothing since; hence why Romar is on the hot seat. They seem to be a team that has a lot of talent, but their best talent leaves early & they're not Duke/Kentucky where those FR lead them to the S16+. Romar can never seem to keep a good mix of upperclassmen with any stud FR he brings in, and he's never been known as a good bench coach who can get the most out of his players.

Nathan Hale has been the bottom of the barrel for years and now is a real contender!

A bit like Dave Rice: Better at recruiting than coaching.

The 2016 OOC not very impressive for the talent they have coming in, granted they have a tough PAC 12 conf schedule. Zags are tough, TCU, Nevada next best? Last year 19-15 and we ran them out of Viejas during the NIT, 93-78. Nov. 3 – Western Washington (exh.) Nov. 13 – Yale Nov. 17 – Cal State Fullerton Nov. 20 – Northern Arizona Nov. 22 – Long Beach State Nov. 24 – vs. Western Kentucky (Global Sports Classic, Las Vegas, Nev.) Nov. 25 – vs. UNLV/TCU (Global Sports Classic, Las Vegas, Nev.) Nov. 30 – at TCU Dec. 7 – at Gonzaga Dec. 11 – Nevada Dec. 18 – Western Michigan Dec. 20 – Cal Poly Dec. 22 – at Seattle U

They beat out a decent Harvard team, but they do lose a bunch. Western Kentucky is a pretty decent & consistent program, so playing them & LBSU won't hurt them. Zags, TCU & Nevada give them more credibility. Do they really potentially play TCU twice, back to back?? The good thing for them is they're actually playing ROAD games, which they rarely do, although they "game'd" the SU game. It's "on the road", except I'm sure at Key Arena, which will have more UW fans than SU. Another smart move is playing all at home to start, then neutral, THEN go on the road. Gives them chance to grow first. Definitely giving his players a chance to work in their new PG, after losing Andrews & Murray (& Chriss). A good enough schedule given that, and the fact they'll play a decent conference schedule. Not sure who they're only playing once in conference this year? Beat Zags & win the games they're supposed to & this mediocre schedule still should get them a NC RPI inside 100, which is all they need.
