I set my dvr to record the first episode of the new X-Files series. Well, damned if the NFL game/post game didn't extend almost half way through the X-Files show. So I was able to watch only about half the show. I assume that the remainder of the show extended into the 8 PM time slot.
First, I can't imagine why the X-Files was shown at 7 PM. Seems more like something that would be shown at 9 or 10 PM.
Anyway, I was wondering if anyone else had the same experience. I'm sure the network didn't want viewers to miss a minute of the NFL game/etc., but why was it not anticipated that so important a show might well be cut short (at least for those who were setting their DVR) should the game run long? I'm not aware of any replays of the first episode.
