As near as I can tell, this is nothing more than Pooh offering his right-wing crap most every day. Tell ya what, Bill - if you're worried about this website going under, you damn well better get some people other than Pooh and your other right-wing cronies posting on here.

Well, having you stepping up to the plate on a regular basis would certainly help! As I said in my message recently, I think a wide variety of opinions is essential if a website devoted largely to politics is going to succeed.

But I cannot cajole, blackmail, or coerce readers to post. I have already changed the board so that anyone, not just registered members, can post replies to threads. I have thought about doing advertising, but that entails a lot of effort and probably some expense.

I had hoped that at least two or three dozen AztecTalk members from the old board who more or less regularly participated in the political forum would migrate here. Hasn't happened as of yet. I'm very disappointed, but I'm not sure what I can do at this point.

Bob, you may not agree with this, but I think it's pretty obvious that Barack Obama's first year in office was deeply flawed. Whatever one thinks of the man, it's pretty clear that he badly misread the mood of the public. Not a lot has gone right, and, considering their beaten down status and huge deficit in the Congress, it's really pretty hard to make a serious case that the Republicans are to blame. Perhaps many who were for Obama have come to realize that he was much overrated (and, unfortunately, that he badly overrated his understanding of many of the critical issues he would face once he took over) and have as a consequence become a bit dispirited when it comes to discussing politics.

Or maybe not.
