Really nothing new in this country. We have been fighting about the role of government since the Constitutional Convention. Strong government vs. weak, federal power vs. state's rights, has been an ongoing battle in this country.
A strong national government, as sought by Washington, Adams, Hamilton, is the right way to go, of course.

We should have a very strong Federal Government doing only those functions laid out for it in the Constitution. They need to get out of Education for starters.

A strong federal government is a good thing - as long as it's a LIMITED federal government that doesn't try to be all things for all people.
