RIP to a tortured soul. Scott was a great frontman, saw him live several times with STP.

Saw STP at least a dozen times including one time where I had a differential equations final the next morning. When Weiland brought him A game he was the best frontman during my high school and college years. I remember seeing STP open up for The Red Hot Chili Peppers at the Irvine Amphitheatre. STP was on another level that night and Weiland was everywhere and nonstop the whole show. The Chili Peppers then came on and the place slowly emptied out. It was maybe half full about 5-6 songs in and maybe a quarter full at the end. Weiland simply crushed it that night and if he was Michael Jordan that night the Chili Peppers were some bench warming kid in a youth league.

A little late posting to this, but as I'm literally half a world away, $#!+ takes time...
The last time I saw STP was at a 91X 4th of July concert on North Island MC'd by Johnny Rotten whow as dressed as a fn redcoat.
And as Zed said.

Not a surprise was probably long overdue.
