Well, if "he" is Paul Krugman, then, yes, he is serious. Just to show what the other side is thinking, here is that good ole boy Paul and his "Hey, the deficit ain't so bad and it should be bigger" philosophy. Why all the concern about the deficit? Krugman is a guy who believes in Keynesian economics and like all those folks, is dead wrong. Think of this issue on your own personal level. If you get so deep in debt that you can't pay, what are your options? We are approaching that point as a country and the same options will eventually be our choices.
