I saw him briefly scratch his nose once during one of the Aztec intros. To say I was appalled and offended would be the understatement of the year. I almost stopped watching his every move after that. I said "almost". His actions when I followed him into the restroom, I won't even go in to.

I too was unimpressed with the way he handled himself at the csusm game. Sat the whole time coach fish was speaking, never once did he clapp or acknowledge what coach fish has done. I know it's petty on my part, but his demeanor was as if he was better than the team. No it's not petty on your part to be watching and judging a teenage boy's body language the "whole time" coach Fisher is addressing the crowd, it's just very creepy. C'mon Man! |

One of these days, perhaps tomorrow, we'll land a Top 10/15 recruit... and who knows, it may not be much of a surprise to us.
It's an uphill climb (being in the MWC)... but Fish and staff are in great shape... and will land the truly 'elite' recruits at some point.

Too all the others trying to read "body language" how about he knew the scrutiny he's under and wanted to be as impartial as possible under the circumstances by not drawing attention to himself. He may not have made up his mind at that point to where he wanted to go to school yet. |

For what's worth, people have mentioned how ucla and Compton magic are both addidas, while oregon, sdsu and Zona are nike. Obviously, there is the pull on leaf from the aau club to attend ucla, an addidas school. But there may be greater influence on leaf to attend ucla from another addidas school, Foothills Christian.
Yes, Foothills Christian, Leaf's current high school, is an Adidas school, just like UCLA and the Compton magic. Oh yeah, Foothills coach just happens to be Leaf's father. Could there be some family pressure on leaf to keep addidas happy (and the money flowing to Leaf's father at Foothills Christian) by attending UCLA?

Now those were some good old fashioned conjecture filled pages of BS if I ever read any, haha. Back to TJ....I, like most, expect him to go to UCLA based on them being a traditional national power, a PAC 12 member, and Adidas team, bla bla bla, but I wouldn't be utterly surprised to see TJ commit here. There has been enough time spent on campus to merit his genuine interest, and the program is in the hands of better leadership. It comes down to how he relates to the players, the staff, and how he sees himself fitting into the system. Each program has it's pros and cons, and hopefully our pros are stronger than that of UCLA. We'll find out in 8.5 hours! |
