As sad and ridiculous as it sounds and seems, everything I've read says he's signing with UCLA because it is an Adidas shoe school as is his AAU team. There is rumor that he decomitted from Arizona for that same reason. Tremendous pressure from AAU and Adidas to sign accordingly and UCLA has been poaching his AAU teammates with authority because of this AAU-UCLA relationship. The NCAA should be spending their time looking into these shady relationships rather than screwing a clean program like the Aztecs. Adidas sucks everyone knows that.

Could his convenience to the JAM Center in the future tip the scale in our favor? It's been said earlier, but you gotta think it would be a huge plus for him when he's in the NBA to be able to visit home during the off season and practice at the JAM center.

His defense can be forged here at SDSU. Having a well rounded game and a high upside is very appealing to NBA scouts. He has the upside, let's get him to start playing some real D.

Agree with others who have said his teammate and friend Ball being set to sign with UCLA the same day is likely very, very bad news for us. I had hopes and dreams for TJ to stay home, but I think he was always UCLA and just nothing Fish could do about it despite his best efforts.

I don't think the Ball signing on the same day has any significance. ESPNU probably dictated the Thursday scheduling announcement.
I like our chances considering three things: His non verbal to UCLA on his official. Access to the JAM center in the future. Playing time in 2016.

I doubt it's UCLA and the facts point that way. He came to SDSU for the CSUSM game (maybe Pauley 2 days ago and if so those were huge crowd differentiates.) We had a very good crowd for a meaningless game. He sat with the players before and I assume after the game. So he visited SDSU one more time which to me sounds like this was a "let's make sure I am making the right decision" confirmation visit which is what I've done for a major job. Also, UCLA is announcing an official signing of a previous verbal commit this THU so why double-up someone else's moment? Last, the news that our investigation will be wrapped up this month while UCLA's is still ongoing. I have to believe it's us...or maybe Oregon. UCLA isn't under investigation, unless you count a poorly executed Kanye West theme party at a frat

UCLA has pretty much always been the consensus choice due to the Compton Magic connection and other factors ever since he decommitted from the Wildcats. The fact he is announcing early really leads me to believe it's the Bruins. Don't think we could have made up the ground necessary with the announcement coming this soon. Hope I'm wrong. Think a lot of posters are afraid to get their hopes up, it's understandable. I'm banking on 2 facts, if he wanted to play with his Compton friends so bad, why did he commit to Arizona in the first place? 2nd, Bruins are undeniably more crowded for playing time and shots. The fact that They have no scholarships left for 2016 clearly shows that by numbers alone. My hopes are up, come on TJ, lets shock the BB world!!

From my vantage - the seats directly behind the row where they put recruits - it feels like Leaf will be an Aztec.

Wish I could hope otherwise but history tells me he will be a Bruin. Lord, please, prove me wrong.

They might be investigated at some point, but there isnt one right now and there really isnt anyone who thinks this is much of a story. Its not even being mentioned in recruiting

I really hope he becomes an Aztec. If I were young and had the skills he has I would love to represent my Home town and be the one that helps get the program to the very top. I really love that attitude from our future QB Lucas and what we saw from Lindley. With that said I love it when we lose a recruit to another school and then we beat them when we play them. I always think that for a least a few minutes they have to think about what they missed out on (especially when the game is at Viejas Arena).

Last year everyone had him going to UCLA and he almost committed. Something happened at a camp which created ADIDAS drama. It's sort of the bad side of shoe recruitments
